Will definitely revisit
The hotel is in an excellent location. A short and very enjoyable walk to all points of interest. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was large and well appointed. There is no problem getting a good meal anywhere you go so don’t feel you must eat at the hotel, it is a little expensive.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
If you are visiting vienna for the first time and like beautiful architecture, be sure to go to the museum area. If you are planning to do some shopping, don’t wait til Sunday as most retail shops are closed.

Great hotel
The Vienna Marriott Hotel at Parkring was perfectly located across from the park. It is in walking distance to just about everything you want to see!

Solid; would return.
Fine location across from park; very nice and helpful desk staff; clean updated room, all as you expect. Bathroom smallish. Generic, big though calm lobby with double-height center, shops, bar/stage in rear--neither atmospheric nor charming, but overall experience was worth it. Can walk to Opera, Golden Hall, (nearby on, near Ring), other venues. Use hotel back door for short cut to inner ring locations (a bit bleak at night, however). Convenient mini-van day-trip tour pick up for Salzburg, Prague and Budapest. Unfortunately, breakfast ridiculously expensive, in room or downstairs. No space in in-room fridge for yoghurt, juice, etc., and unwelcome "charge if removed" sign there--a pity. No in-room electric kettle for tea, though tea/coffee free in lobby at breakfast time. Smallish pool OK, though note no life guard. In sum, would return due to overall value, cleanliness, location, and desk staff.
Traveler's tip on dining
Nearby Huth restaurant wonderful; traditional as well as updated Viennese food--delicious and healthful. But reserve downstairs near window if you don’t like smoke! Note also has sister cafe/bar across the street--though didn’t try it.
