Real convenient
The hotel is conveniently located to Laguardia Airport. Shuttle service is provided. From the airport, local bus is available to train station fore a short train tide to times square and other downtown locations. The hotel personnel were very helpful in suggesting transportation. Daily "happy hour" available and food service was good with a fine breakfast buffet. If I need to go to NYC, I would consider using this hotel again.
The statue of liberty was a must see for me. We also went up in the Empire State Building. Took the Gray line Busses around the city for two days jumping off and on at interesting locations thruout the city. The price was right.

Old, but conveniently placed
The best thing about it is that you only have to take the Q33 from subway 7 and get off at the US Airways Terminal (the second one), then walk over a bridge (1 minute walk) and youll be in the hotel. The bad thing is that the hotel needs immediate maintenance (it feels its going to collapse). You dont control the temperature in your room; it is set by a central system. So, I had to dress quite warmly inside. I asked for them to come and check my room, and was promised that there will be someone to help out. I left the hotel after two days without anyone coming by to fix the situation. They probably just forgot, or are used to having many people call in on the first day saying that they are uncomfortable.
