City life without the price
The hotel sits just outside of New York City. It is basically the closest hotel to the city without being horribly expensive. The rooms were nice (no refrigerators though) and the service was always there if needed. We ended up driving into the city (instead of taking the shuttle) and parking at a garage right across the bridge. Its valet and it was pretty cheap (for the city).
There is a shuttle bus that leaves the hotel every few hours. It is expensive though, like $10/person each way. There are other shuttles that are around $2 person, but based on the location of the hotel, it would be really hard to get to with little children. Also, there are no refrigerators, so any milk that is needed for little ones will have to be put on ice in the included ice bucket.
