Perfect location
The hotel was located within walking distance to all important sights; the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. My husband ’s visit to New Orleans was to attend a doctor’s convention therefore, it was important to him to be close to the convention center. I was disappointed with the room and the maintenance of the room. Anytime a guest has to ask for toilet tissue.... I was very upset. I definetely will not stay there again. We plan to visit New Orleans again soon.

Great New Orleans Stay!
I am from New Orleans, travel back very often, and love staying at the Ambassador--for the location, the cleanliness, the staff is very helpful, great bar in the lobby. Easy walk to Mother restaurant, the river, and the Quarters. If you are looking for a safe, easy place to stay downtown, with easy parking this is it. Also love the architecture of the hotel--maintains the character of "old" New Orleans!

Disappointed
In addition to the daily charge for valet parking (which I was prepared for, but still seemed a bit pricey), the service was pretty bad. Using the system that is set up for checking in and retrieving your car was a WASTE of time. The room had no windows and was not particularly clean. Overall the hotel was ok at best but with the lack of customer service I would probably not stay there again.
