Nice visit
While the room wasnt huge, it was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and the location was great. It was very easy walk to the opera house and the ferries and trains at Circular Quay. I would stay there again if I am ever lucky enough to go back to Sydney and could get a good deal. However, it isnt for people with limited mobility since there is no elevator. In fact the whole area of the Rocks would be hard due to the stone walkways/hills etc.

Cant have a better location
The reason for the bad rating on room comfort is that the street-side rooms were very noisy. Two neighboring pubs played loud music until about 1:30 am. Then young people would loiter in the streets. What didnt help is that we were there on St. Pattys day, and the noise went on until 5 am. Its a charming hotel with one of the best locations in town, but be sure to request backside rooms...or pack ear plugs and Ambien!
Traveler's tip on dining
The food at the hotel is fine. Dont even try the other restaurants in the Rocks: its lousy. For dinners go to the Operahouse side of Circular Quai, or there are some good restaurants (like the FireFly), on the west side of the Rocks.
