Good location
Located on a fairly busy road but hotel is set back and we didnt hear any traffic during our stay. Very close to lots of pubs, restaurants and shops plus within walking distance of Shakespeares birthplace and final resting place. No air conditioning in the room (had to pay extra if you wanted it) but there was a fan which helped to circulate the air somewhat. Bathroom was a bit grubby but room itself was OK.

A Great Spot
This is a really well situated hotel, on a bit of a side street, but extremely close (c. 10 minute walk) to the theater. Staff were very helpful and pleasant, and the room was extremely comfortable, nice and warm on a very cold winters night. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Best Hotel of the Trip
In terms of lodging, this hotel was the highlight of my 12-day trip to the UK. Our room was clean and comfortable and one of the most spacious on our trip. We enjoyed a light meal and mid-afternoon tea in the lounge shortly after arriving. We were about a 10 minute walk from the theaters, which was fine unless walking is difficult for you. When we booked, the website indicated there were only a few non-smoking rooms in the hotel, but we were very pleased and relieved to learn (when we arrived) that the whole hotel is now smoke-free. I will definitely stay here again whenever I visit Stratford-upon-Avon.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The local tour busses that visit all five Shakespeare-affiliated homes are a good bargin and an easy way to access the sites a couple miles out of town. A small fee allows you to hop on and off at will for 24 hours. You can pick up the busses about a block and a half from the hotel.
