Ok, but lacking amenities

The surveys I’ve taken so far do not ask the right questions: while the staff was friendly and efficient, and the hotel was clean, and the neighborhood and the noise levels were all well and good, the hotel did not have free wi-fi or a free continental breakfast.

A very good hotel for the money

Nice, clean and quiet, a little hard to find, is on a bussines road just next to the exit, I suggest you call dirrectly to hotel for directions, map quest not so accurate, very suprised the water was warm on the pool, had some leaves but had a good time, courtesy fresh coffee machine.

Price & location were right, I’d stay again

It was clean & close to where we were attending a couple of family functions, plus it was half the price of a different hotel that a family member was trying to make reservations for us. However, it was one of the few Red Roof Inns that we’ve stayed at that does NOT have the continental breakfast, which was a little inconvenient. Overall, it met the need & we’d stay there again.

Call the hotel directly to the get the best directions to their location. I tried to MapQuest the address & the best route to the hotel is not typical & doesn’t show up correctly on MapQuest.

Where’s The Food?

I very much enjoyed my week long stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. But I still can’t get over two things. No breakfast at all. Everyone has at least continental breakfast these days. And, no computer for guest use in the lobby. Another amenity available in most hotels these days. Once again, nice place...but you can get a place with a nice breakfast, and a computer, for the same price.

After big disappointment at other motel in Tucson, this was great. No breakfast and cheaper rate beat the nasty Fruit Loops and other crap which passed as brkfst at other place. RR was clean, quiet, no frills, but cordial and located conveniently.

We splurged at Poppa Deaux(Sp) for dinner on what we saved and had breakfast at Rock Springs; all easy access to freeway. We stayed at other Red Roof Inns in Tempe and Tucson bcs experience in Phoenix was so positive.

My Stay

For the price I was pleasantly surprised. I was not expecting much for a 2 star hotel. However, the rooms were very nice and comfortable. I have a big thing with cleanliness under the beds so I checked under the beds and very clean. Bathrooms were remodeled and upgraded with hardwood floors ( very nice!) Me and my family really enjoyed our stay!

Needed a place to stay while visiting a sick relative and within our budget. Hotel was clean and location was perfect. Noise from freeway was a bit much but we had earplugs. We would defineately stay here again.

Comfortable

King suite only had 3 pillows on bed, other than that it was ok for just the weekend, not much time spent in room. Not too accessable from highway, somewhat confusing to locate how to get to entrance

Worked out just fine!

We just needed a clean place to rest our heads and we found it here! Was comfy and clean. Cheap and easy! HOWEVER, finding the place was kind of a problem. The hotel is right next to the freeway, but mapquest got us off on a different freeway, we had to take surface streets for 15 minutes, then realized mapquest had sent us the wrong way. When we finally got to where we were supposed to be, the street that the hotel was on was really hard to find, it is not marked very well. We could see the hotel, just couldn’t find the street, had to pass 3 times before we figured it out!

The lobby coffee was dreadful, and no in-room coffee was provided. Otherwise it was okay, and very convenient to good restaurants.

Good hotel but right next to the freeway and it is very noisy...seriously...take ear plugs.

Served my needs well.

The staff was extremely pleasant. I arrived early and the were still accommadating. Everything looked and smelled clean, the effort to keep everything in good repair was evident. I was busy at the conference I was attending, but this Hotel served my needs well.

Black Bear Diner has excellent food, just up the road, across the freeway.

Bad smell, worse service

The rooms smelled like covered up smoke. The service was very poor, I will never stay at a Red Roof again

Lacks amenities

the hotel is easy to find and located close the the main highways and many restaurants and grocery stores. the downfall is that the rooms do not have fridges or coffee pots. This would have made the stay more enjoyable. We travelled with a team of baseball players and a continental breakfast option would have made our stay perfect.

Purchase a couple of foam coolers and keep them in your room full of ice. Have food in one and drinks in the other. This will save you lots of money. The grocery store located across the street is excellent.

Not bad for the price

We were in Phoenix for a wedding and just needed a place to sleep. We found the hotel to be clean and quiet with all the usual amenities. Our only complaint was a very hard mattress and not enough pillows. The pillow situation probably could have been remedied with a visit to the front desk, but unless you like a really firm mattress this may not be for you.
