A dumpy, unwelcoming shelter near Rice Village
AFter staying at the Marriott across the street last year, I was startled to find this hotel to be such a seedy contrast. The lobby smelled like burning hemp. The desk clerk was abrupt and not at all welcoming. It apparently serves as a week-to-week residence for a subpopulation of guest as some people had plants outside their doors, were walking dogs in the parking lot, and were sitting on chairs on the porch. I would not stay there again if you paid me.

This hotel is just plain grosse. A Red Roof Inn is 100 times better than this place

Not a Good Value - Even If It Is Inexpensive
Although I understood the hotel was very inexpensive, I believe it should disclose if it is under renovation. The room was dark, unclean, and in disrepair.
