Charleston’s Grand old Hotel
This hotel provided a great old grand hotel experience. The lobby area was beautiful and had the atmosphere of the old grand hotel. The staff was extremely attentive to every need. We were on our honeymoon and immediatley upgraded to a suite at check-in. The concierge took care of our every need that included a private evening carriage ride that picked us up at the hotel and excellent restaurant suggestions. The Francis Marion’s location was convenient to shopping and dining. The only downside was the size of the bathroom. It was small but nicely appointed. I would definitely stay at the Frances Marion on my next visit to the Charleston area.

nice location, not well kept
I completely understand that this is an old, historic hotel, but the bathroom was looking run down and a little unclean. Shelves and mirrors were in bad shape. Great location.
