Excellent Location
The location said near train station...and it was literally outside of the train station. Very nice hotel....best shower we had in Scotland. Hotel desk very helpful and let us store our luggage after checkout. Restaurant in the hotel also very good. This was a very centrally located hotel for anything we wanted to do....everything within walking distance.

Beautiful Hotel
It was a very nice place to stay! Great location! A delicious Scottish breakfast was included. Also, the staff was very helpful. I would definitely go back!

19th century charm with 21st century amenities
Enchanting Victorian-style appeal with modern amenities and spotlessly remodeled bathrooms. Ample table space in lobby to utilize the free internet service offered there. Even though the hotel was located at a train station, we experienced no noise disturbances. On the negative side, the advertised free parking turned out to be fewer than ten spaces which were already occupied. As Americans we still cannot comprehend the British idea of lifts. Even though the lift took us and our luggage to our upper floor, there were still many steps to negotiate to access our rooms. Overall, a lovely stay.
