Only for Location
The hotel is located right on Robson, in the midst of all the shops and hustle. And I found that to be both positive as well as a very strong negative. The street noise in the late evening is unbearable, even weekdays. It goes on until well after midnight. And the truck and bus traffic picks up about 5AM. Otherwise, the hotel is close to many attractions and all kinds of restaurants and shops. The 5 bus stops on the corner and runs every several minutes, but you can walk most of the downtown. The hotel is old but has been refurbished. Still it lacks amenities, but the bigger rooms seem to have more inclusions. The floors are hardwood. The plusses for my room were a coffee maker and a rather large closet. There was a TV that gets several Seattle stations, as well as the basic Canada type cable. If you drive, theres an underground secure parking facility. I cant recommend this place for family travel. But young hipsters might find it a less expensive base for exploring the town.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
The new Canada Skytrain line is complete. You can take it to the River Rock Casino, Richmond Center, and catch local buses there for Steveston harbor (great on a nice day) or The summer night market. Catch it near Granvilel or the Waterfront.

Room dirty. Story of stains is true, and I cannot identify the various odors.
