Good Choice
Our room was clean and comfortable and ready when we arrived after a long drive. The staff was nice and helpful. We had dinner at the Dennys next door and the serving sizes were large enough that my husband and I could have split the senior plate I ordered. We were located near the American Airlines Center, where we were in town for the Idols live concert (great, esp. Adam Lambert) On the continental breakfast the next morning, the coffee was good, flavored creamers were on hand, we watched the news on a flat screen TV, had a choice of pastries, bagles, cereal, juice, milk, and hard boiled eggs. We would definitely be back if we were in town again for an event in that vicinity.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Beware leaving the AAC, its easy to get lost, as the roads dont run the same way to the north and west as they do to the south and east. Plot your route carefully away from the AAC, my husbands GPS couldnt pick up a signal and we had to drive around for a while before it did, getting very tired by that time.

Dont Ever Stay Here
This was the most horrifying hotel Ive ever stayed in. I killed ear wigs, carpenter beetles, and cockroaches in my room on a daily basis. The pool changed color from blue to brown over my 5 day stay. I even had a front desk clerk question my request for some additional shampoo, and ask me why I didnt keep the shampoo I had. Deplorable all around.
Traveler's tip on dining
Four words: Texas Land And Cattle. Never go to Texas without visiting this restaurant, amazing food.

Nothing Fancy
Bare bones amenities, but pretty much what we expected for the price. Friendly, helpful staff. No elevator... extremely inconvenient for someone with luggage to climb stairs. If you just need a clean place to sleep and shower, this is for you.
