This hotel was maintained well. The baths were small. The windows were old and the noise from the street below was pretty loud. There are no ice machines or ice buckets in the rooms, so you have to call the front desk to bring you ice. You also have to add $30/day to valet the car + a tip every time you have them bring it around. The location is good if you want to hang on the strip and not worry about driving.

Great Hotel in the heart of Miami Beach, great location walk distance from everything in the area, room very clean, the Restaurant was very good and the pool area also. The staff members are like a big family... can’t wait to get back. Thank you Albion South Beach.

Best Hotel in Miami

We stayed for 4 nights and it was clean, great service, wonderful heated pool, quiet, and best of all... walking distance to everything! The entire shopping district was one block away, restaurants galore to eat, and all the nightlife of South Beach was two blocks south. Easy. There are so many tourists and locals walking that it felt very safe for me and my gf, especially coming back at 3-4am.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

You won’t need a car with this hotel because everything is within an easy walk. The hotel arranged a cab to transport us to the airport.. cost $20.

Good value; bathroom clean but in need of update

There was burn damage in the bathroom that should have been fixed. Otherwise the room and hotel were nice. No issues.

The hotel it self was OK but the bathroom was the xize of a peanut it didn’t even have a fan. Parking was $30 a day that was not included with the hotel. The staff for the most part seemed to have an atttitude which is not what you are looking for when you are on vacation. The best part of the hotel was the location.

Nice hotel in good area.

The room was bigger as expected, small bathroom but big enough. Everything you needed was there: iron, safe, internet. Close to shopping, restaurants. Rent a car thrue the internet, is cheaper than renting there. You cannot avoid expensive parking, although there are some places around which are cheaper as hotelparking.

Overall it was ok

The only problem I experienced with this hotel was that the walls between the rooms are too thin. My neighobr in the next room started banging on the wall just because I was laughing. So yeah the walls are too thin other than that the hotel was ok.

If you want a tasty snack, walk across the steet to SOBE MUNCHIES a little Cuban place. You can get a Ham & Cheese Empinada for 1.50 hits the spot after a day on the beach and pre-dinner.

better than last time

we’ve been to this hotel a few times over the years. the last time things were a little shabby, but we returned this year because of the good price. we were happy to see some renovation to rooms and lobby. the service is good and the guests were mostly European. If you want to sit by the pool drinking rum punch, this is not the place for you.

Very near Lincoln Road which is great for NYers who like to walk. Lots of restaurants and places to sit and people watch.

Stay away -- buddy room is a fraud ! (read below)

This is definitely not 3.5star. I stayed there for 3 nights during thanksgiving break. Since, I was not renting car and this was my first visit to Miami I wanted to stay as close to Lincoln Road and the beach. Thats how I ended up here. The lowest price room is "buddy room" since I haven’t seen small rooms in US often, I thought how bad can it be. Well I was wrong, my bathroom is bigger than this room and plus heat/ac doesnt work and bathroom was so small that after I took shower there was water everywhere even in the bedroom. The temperature of the room was 62F while it was 78F outside. Hotel staff was not at all polite, so after lot of struggle and whining I was upgraded to a bigger room which was little better. I wouldn’t recommend anyone doing this upgrade because its not worth it and it will spoil you vacation mood. Overall, the stay here was nothing close to pleasant. Only thing was it was close to Lincoln road but trust me it is not worth it. Get a nicer hotel little further which has same price as "Buddy room" here and take a cab. Cab service is very good compared to NY, Chicago, LA. Everything in South beach is pretty close by and you can walk. Its pretty safe and all shops/restaurants are open until midnight on Lincoln road & Ocean Drive. Stay away from this Hotel !

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Stay in South beach. DO NOT rent a car because parking is very expensive. Take cab everywhere. Lincoln road has better restaurants than Oceandrive; more value for money. Eat after 10pm on Lincoln Drive because some of the places will slash menu price by half and/or give Bottle of Wine (yes!) or dessert/appetizer on the house. Try to stay as much as possible on the beach because thats the BEST !

The location of the hotel was great, walking distance to everything I was interested in visiting during this trip. Walk to shopping and restaurants was great.

A First-Class Art Deco Hotel

The Albion exceeded my expectations in every way, including with a surprise upgrade to a penthouse suite. The hotel was bright and cheery. I made use of the free internet to print out my boarding pass and check my personal email. This hotel is located in the middle of everything art deco and in walking distance of many stores, shops, beach,etc. Although I didn’t use it, the South Beach 25 cents per ride bus was convenient to the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I had to change my arrival and departure dates and the hotel refused to change them, the problem is that they were rude denying the change of dates.

This place was awesome. On previous trips we stayed at more pricey places on the beach. We decided to stay here this time thanks to this web site. It really is the perfect location and we got a room with an ocean view too. Although a little one, but one none the less. The staff is so friendly and courtious we felt like we were in a 5 star hotel. Great people. Will stay here every trip to Florida now. Thanks Expedia!!!

Perfect for Convention Center

If you are in town for convention at Miami Beach, this is a great spot at a great price. Clean room, friendly staff, WiFi worked well, bed was very comfortable and shower was hot and igh pressure. You can walk to the convention center. Dim lighting in bath made it difficult to shave, some minor spots of mold on grout were biggest negatives. Can’t beat the price for a business overnight stay.

Traveler's tip for business travelers

Albion is 1.5 blocks from the beach so take advantage and Lincoln Place pedestrian mall is next block over too...lots of restaurants and shops to check out.

Good Location, uncomfortable room!

Hotel had a great location and friendly staff, pool was nice. Our room did not feel like it had any a/c the air was damp, and stuffy. We got a room with a Full Size bed hoping to save money, this was a mistake. It was hard to move around the room it was so small.

Wonderful smells

My husband and I recently stayed at the Albion Hotel in Miami and it was the smallest room on the floor but very cozy. The cleaning staff was very prompt about getting around to all rooms by the early afternoon so we always returned to a clean room. Paper at door every morning. Food expensive and staff very hospitable! We would go back. P.s. Miami is smelly but the hotel always smelled wonderful!

If you want to go out, plan your trip around a weekend. We couldn’t find many open clubs during the week.

Unsatisfied

We would have to say overall this hotel was very unsatisfactory. We arrived early and checkin time was at 3pm. We are from CT so the heat was shocking, and we were unable to even pay for early checkin. They were not accomidating in that factor. Then it was 2:50 when we went back to the front desk and they said we still had to wait 10 minutes; we put our name in and sat on the lobby couches. We watched several groups come in before 3pm while sitting there and receive their room keys and head up to their rooms. Then we noticed the second day our sheets looked and smelt like they weren’t changed, so we put a sticker on the tags of the sheets and blankets and when they changed our room on the third day we have been here they were the same blankets. I asked the front desk if the maid service was to change the blankets or just make the beds and they advised they’re supposed to. I informed them the maids DID NOT and we would like new blankets. The food was great, the accomodations - not so great! Also the wireless internet access and cable kept going out the entire stay.

Just OK!

The Albion hotel is in a great location. The service at the front desk (Help Desk) was good. The staff was very personalable and accomdating. Our room was extremly small. There was visible mold on the bathroom walls and the room smelled musty. We attempted to change rooms but was unable to do so without paying an additional fee. This was my second time staying at the Albion. I don’t think I will stay there again.

The best of this hotel was the lounge area( lobby area) I like the setup it’s very nice and the customer agents were very nice and the bar was very well together and the bar tender was very nice! I will recomended anyone to come to the albion and stay!

when traveling the taxis are promt and shopping mall ( dolphin mall) was a very nice mall 40mins. away and Bayside was nice to see

The hotel is nice, has a great staff, perfect location. There is a pool where you can relax if you dont want to go to the beach. However the buddy room was small it is enough for one person. Their breakfast is good the service is aproppriate. So it is a good hotel to stay, try it out. Only one complain: the bed was very soft, therefore not so comfortable for me.
