Best Western San José Downtown
The hotel is well located 3 to 4 blocks from the main streets downtown San José, the problem is mainly that the surrounding area itself is not very safe. If you walk during daytime or take taxis there is no problem at all. It is near the main museums, they also organise tours. Overall, it’s a decent hotel with friendly staff and a swimming pool. Rooms are quite decent and prices are ok. They have free internet but the computers are very slow and need maintenance. I would return.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
If you want to spend your time inside the hotel don’t go there, but if you plan to work or to visit Costa Rica and want a good option in terms of central location, quality and price, it’s a good choice.
