Loved it! Wonderful, can’t wait to go back!

Our condo was beautiful, it was surrounded by trees. Sitting on deck, drinking coffee and watching the birds. A perfect way to wake up. The inside was clean, very well stocked and the bed was super comfy! Would recommend this place to anyone. The club house is clean and well kept with a sauna, jacuzzi, pool and other things.

1 bedroom with living room was sweet.

There’s a mini kitchen with frig, freezer and microwave. Nice and clean. Fireplace. Very spacious. View from large patio was okay. You can see trees and squirrels. I would highly recommend North Bay. I stayed there with my fiancee over the weekend of Oct. 18, 2008. Front desk service was excellent and behind the counter snacks were very convenient.

Not a hotel, these are converted timeshare condos.

Pros: Bed was very comfortable. Room had nice view of wilderness. Condos were in secluded area protected by security gate. Good looking indoor pool. Tennis courts available. Very peaceful. Cons: Location is not Lake Arrowhead, but Blue Jay. Takes 10 minutes to get to the village. No air conditioning made for a sleepless night. Had to leave back door open to cool down the room (no windows) and was repeatedly awakened by noise from outside. Room appeared to be a condo which was subdivided. TV stand was in poor location, not easily visible from bed. Washer/Dryer just outside the front door. Room full of young men stayed up late doing laundry. Maybe its a mountain thing but the lobby doesnt open until 9:15 a.m., well after we wanted to leave. Too late for complimentary coffee, etc.

Traveler's tip

Arrowhead is better suited for people who want to relax and do nothing. There’s some shopping in the village but its a difficult place to visit for more than one day, or more than once every 5 years.

Mostly great but plan ahead for late arrival!!!

This is a very nice hotel with rooms almost like a condo with kitchen, living room and large bath. Our room had an entry way that led to a flight of stairs so if you have a lot of luggage you should be in shape. The only problem we encountered (and it was a big problem) was that when we booked the room thru Expedia, there was no notation to make special arrangements for after hours arrival. I had assumed that like at most hotels someone would be able to accommodate us for check in around 9 PM. As it turns out the road to the hotel is gated and the gate was closed when we arrived around 8:30. We could not contact anyone thru the intercom box at the guard house and were stuck trying to call Expedia on the cell phone. The Cingular reception was poor so after several attempts we had to drive around to find a pay phone. We were on the phone with Expedia for approx 20 minutes before someone came on the phone to give us the code for the gate. They also told us that our key would be locked in a safe and gave us the combination. The code for the gate worked, the combination to the safe did not. After another 15 min on a poor cellular connection we were able to get the safe open and finally get to our room. This all could have avoided if we had simply been informed of the after hour check in procedures. This was really not the fault if the hotel but of Expedia. There should be some notification to prevent this kind of problem.

Good accomodations at a good price

Nice, quiet, clean rooms. Ours had one bedroom plus a living room with a sofa bed. Kitchen has refridg and sink and microwave. Wonderful outside porch. However, you will need a gatecode to get into the complex. Late check in can be more difficult, be sure to ask. Overall we thought it a great place to stay.

It was great.

The room, really more like an apartment, was much more than I expected. It had a full kitchen, dining table and living room, as well as two bathrooms. The area was beautiful and the staff was helpful. It was very comfortable and relaxing.

Traveler's tip for business travelers

I was not able to connect to their wireless service, which was only available in the hotel lobby.

Great Indoor pool

The indoor swimming pool was very nice for the kids, especially since there was still snow on the ground outside. Nice place to stay if you have a family. Plenty of room for everyone, and mom fand dad get their own room.
