Great location but that’s it

Great location - two blocks from the beach and one block from Lincoln Road mall. The hotel itself is weak though: no dresser to unpack clothes, AC small and inadequate, safe broken, no remote for TV and bathroom less then desirable. There was actually a sign on the toilet that said remove rubber band and jiggle handle when flushing! When I asked about the safe at the front desk they said they pretty much all were that way but our stuff was PRETTY safe in the room as long as we didn’t leave cash. I’m actually writing this from the room as my wife sleeps so the free wifi is a plus. if your only here for a couple of days it’s in a great location but any more then two days would be unbearable. Off to the Keys tomorrow. Happy travels.

JUST OK

This hotel was very nice but the only thing i didnt like was i didnt have any cable the whole time i stayed there. the HOT water kept shutting off till i called and gave them a piece og my mind then the Hot water didnt get shut off again, but other than that it was nice would only go back if im low on $ and need some where to stay.

BAD EXPERIENCE

Please do not come to this hotel only for saving a few bucks. Terrible service and hotel in unproper conditions.

Didn`t like

Bad maintenance, mold in the roof, walls and floor. The curtains didn’t close, and the room was too bright and noisy.

Just a place to sleep at

This hotel is not in a very good condition. The location is great and you can have a place to stay relatively cheap. Our first room had a broken window so we asked and got another one. The blanket on the bed wasn’t very clean. Continental breakfast served every morning, the TV was working, but no remote control. Cheap, good for sleeping, do not expect anything more than that.

VERY VERY BAD EXPERIENCE!!!

There is not even one thing that I can say that is nice/good about this hotel. Very very bad service(they did not greet us properly when we arrived) they never smile or say hi or good morning to you, you say "hi" you don’t get a "hi" back. Personnel kept speaking Spanish everywhere even when you tried to talk to them in English. The cleanliness of the room was extremely bad. We had to clean it ourselves. The room needs a paint job very badly. The walls are begging to be painted. Basically these people have no idea of providing any good customer service at this hotel. The only credit that I could give this hotel is that it has a good location but I think people who run this place know that and they are abusing it by not doing the right thing for their guests. Do yourself a huge favor and stay away from this place.

Not Impressed

The room was hardly cleaned on our first day. There was hair in the drain holes from the last occupants. The rooms ll have in window AC units. The room above us had a broken unit, which they still rented the room out to, so there was a loud humming noise through out the entire night. Told management about the situation, they never fixed it the entire week we were there. I personally wouldn’t stay at this hotel again.

Broken elevator, they are re-wiring the hotle so entire 8 day stay no tv, when I left, they said it would be another 2 weeks w/o tv. When asked if they could bring in a DVD player, they said they had never heard of such a request, my reply, i’ve stayed at a hotel where there isn’t tv! They were not accomdating to extended stay guests.

Awful

We stayed here for a few days after our honeymoon cruise, and it was the worst hotel I have ever been in! The elevator didn’t work and looked like it hadn’t in a long time. We couldn’t receive any reception on the television for the 3 days we were there. They did not have an ice machine or refrigerator to use. The room had mildew on the walls, plaster falling off the walls, and mold growing around the air conditioner ( which worked, thankfully). The only reason we did not check out early was because it was the fourth of july weekend and there was nowhere else for us to go.

HORRIBLE

My husband and I went for 3 days and we stood at this hotel. It was not what it seemed like in the pictures. I was one of the WORSE hotels I ever stayed in... The television didn’t work in the whole building and the elevator wasn’t working...We checked out the same day. This hotel should shut down

STAY AWAY

I wouldn’t recommend the place to my worst enemy. The elevators don’t work at all. The T.V. in my room only worked in the morning on 1 channel, and the worst thing about it, it was a infomercial station.

Leaking everywhere!

-black grime in the tiles of shower -only one towel -leaking ceiling all over the hallways -elevator broken -tv not working -was charged the incidentals fee of $50 which should have only been authorized--not charged -

HOTEL UBICATION IS PERFECT, BUT IT DOES NOT HAVE PARKING LOT, ELEVATOR WAS NOT WORKING AND TV NEVER WORKED. IF YOU ARE GONNA STAY THERE JUST TO SLEEP IS FINE, OTHERWISE FIND OTHERONE.

Hotel needs an upgrade!

I was not happy with my stay at the Greenview South Beach Hotel! The elevator was out of service, the cable only had sound for two channels before six pm, (after six pm -no sound at all), the toilet touched the sink on one side and the wall on the other and the shower looked like it hadn’t been professionally cleaned in months. This hotel really needs to be upgraded!

This place is good if you just need a bed to sleep in. It is located close to a lot of places to eat and shop.

dont fly delta at night, they lost my bags and we did not recieve them until late the next day. hated it.

Very pleasant stay

Good hotel in a good location, within walking distance of many bars and restaurants, but not within earshot of them. Nice looking hotel, good room.

Very Disappointed

I stayed in this hotel October of 08 and it was not the best but, it was a place to rest my head. This time was worse. The elevator that was out of service in 2008 was still out of service in May 2009. There was only one towel in the room. We booked the room for 2 but, there was still only one towel. The cable was out. i would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Pay the extra 20 - 30 dollars and stay in a better location.

this is cheap but not worth it

no elevator. had to drag our luggages on to the second floor. paint coming off of wall ceilings. the exterior looks good, but the interior of the hotel is badly furnished.

Generally satisfied

The staff was nice and friendly. The rooms were cleaned daily. The hotel is on a nice location, close to the beach and the Lincoln road. However, the room was not very comfortable: even though we had an AC in the room, we were not able to open the window so we could dry our wet towels and swimming suits. The windows were locked and could open only a couple of inches. I guess it’s for the security reasons, but it’s still not the best solution.

Great for the price!

If you just want a place to crash at night, this is a great hotel to stay at since it’s within walking distance of many cool things in Miami Beach. If not, take a bus... they are cheap. It’s not the most upscale place to stay, but for the money it’s not bad.

Traveler's tip on shopping

Take the bus to Downtown Miami and get off at Bayside. Plenty of good food and places to shop.

GREAT LOCATION... THAT’S ALL

the hotel provides free continental breakfast from 7 to 9 am and there’s a computer with internet in the lobby at no charge my room had very little natural light and the carpet was stained.. the tv didn’t work at all but for the price and the location is still a bargain

Falling into Decay

I’ve stayed at this hotel every year since the mid-1990’s, and it used to be one of the best kept secrets in SoBe. Now, with no money invested in it for years, it has fallen into decay, and is uncomfortable at best. Sad, but true. I will not stay there in the future. At this point, they need to close it, gut it, and start fresh. Examples: Bed - could feel EVERY spring in the mattress; Bath - could not get hot water in the shower; TV - only four stations, only three of which had sound; Front Desk - couldn’t even print me a receipt; Food - "breakfast" consisted of mass-produced "pastries" in plastic. Little Debbie makes higher quality food.
