Charming, except for the noise...
Hotel was fine. Service good. Breakfast delicious. Very expensive. I would have the hotel advertise a higher rate and know what I am paying up front, than be aggravated at checkout by the fictitiously high and inflated rates they charge for local telephone calls and internet access. The hotel has internal paper-thin walls and as a result was very noisy when the rooms adjacent to ours were occupied...

A Definete Stay.. an Exceptional Expedia Price
I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. We were in Milan for a day before we headed to Venice and needed a hotel close to the train station. The hotel location was perfect - a quick taxi ride from the train station or if you are up to it and have small luggage it is a 10 min walk. When you leave the hotel you can see the beautiful Milan Central Station. They are a second walk from the Metro to go downtown or go in style with their free mercedes limo service to downtown Milan. The driver was super nice and helpful. I booked it on Expedia and seriously got 50% off the normal hotel rate. I have a friend in Milan who said that the price we got was unheard of and the Hotel is the best in Milan. The service was perfect and the hotel was so beautiful - but I have to warn you the bar/restaurant is pricey but worth it.
Traveler's tip
Best Gellatto - when you walk out of the hotel go to the left and walk ytowards the train station. On the left hand side of the street there is a Gellato place that has outside seating and is the best Gellatto I ever had.

Glorious Hotel in Milan! By far the best, great spa, food, and bar!
This picturesque hotel was fabulous. Glorious service (Concierge bent over backwards to assist us!) The "regular" room were spacious and with wonderful views, the Junior Suite was worth the extra. Much larger than the average European hotel room. If I return to Milan, I will definitely stay at this "Prince of Savoy" (the literal translation). Dont fly into the big airport, fly into their small closeby airport. I tried to acquire tickets to a veiwing of the "Last Supper" by Michaelangelo, they were no where to be acquired, but their concierge came through for a special visitation for 8 hotel guests of the Principe, quite a coup!
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Listen to the Concierges recommendations for lunch and dinner. Better than my friends recommendations. Close to the train station to get to the Lakes of Italy, worth visiting! Dont go for the fashion, no American woman over a size 2 could ever either fit into those incredibly fashionable clothes or ever look like those anorexic queens. See the Last Supper! See the Duomo, see the Galleria, then get out of Milan (its dirty!)
