Nice
Hotel was great with the exception of the mattress - it was extremely old & uncomfortable. The springs were digging into my back and I found it hard to sleep.

Pleasantly surprised, although not convenient if using public transport.
Unless you are staying at the hotel for a quick escape to Manchester International Airport, for which there was a shuttle, or are traveling by car, I would not stay at this hotel. The hotel is fine and the staff is pleasant, but it is not convenient to Manchester City Center if using public transport. Although the bus stop is near the hotel, it takes quite a while to get into town.
Traveler's tip
Just a note, there are at least two bus companies serving Manchester and surrounding areas, so the all day bus pass you purchase will not be honored by every bus that passes by the hotel.

Perfect Location, Relaxed and Friendly
In loved staying here. It suited perfectly for getting in to Manchester City for business and pleasure and its so convenient for getting to from the Airport. All the staff were really helpful and friendly and I took breakfast and an evening meal which were both good. Two quibbles: you cant park too near which is difficult if you are travelling alone and need to do multiple trips to get your luggage in and out.....and I could not hear my husband phoning from the States, so asked for a replacement phone. Front desk assured me they had replaced it but I still couldnt hear my husband the following night....
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
I stupidily didnt bring a bathing costume or exercising gear. Big Mistake. There is a lovely pool with jacuzzi and gym equipment. Its only two pounds 50 pence a day. Would have been well spent!!
