loud, tired and more words I can’t say
The hotel was pretty horrible. Extremely lumpy and unconfortable mattress that left me with a bad back, moldy windows, extreme noise due to location next to bus depot and windows not double glazed (I had to purchase ear plugs which didn’t drown out all the noise), tiny room, rude receptionists (although nice evening porters). They had a pay-as-you-go internet terminal which was basically eating pound coins. The receptionist didn’t care and said it will work eventually if I put enough money in or used different coins. As I urgently needed to use the internet, I had to keep wasting money (about 5 pounds total) and they didn’t care and certainly wouldn’t refund the money or help with the issue. Dirty old furniture (ripped couch in reception etc, smelly curtains and bedspreads). I booked it because it was cheap and it was exactly what I paid for, cheap and nasty.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Huge busloads of people were arriving each day for prepaid trips to got to the next door Grand Theatre, which I guess could be useful.

Not impressed
It is close to the transportation center, whcih is good. Some maintenance is needed. A little more conformtable space. Old TV’s.

Nothing Fancy
I enjoyed my 1 week stay at the Britanna Wolverhampton. The room had its quirks...mildew in the bathroom, tub moved when you stood in it, bedspread was older than I am, along with the matress and carpet as well stained... But - cleaning staff was very nice and the location was unbeatable. I will be going back in a few months and booking there again. What first was alarming became charming by day two and through the rest of my stay.

No 1 Pizza is a few blocks away...order a large #20 to be delivered! Wonderful pizza.
