Nice place to be from...
There are so many similar motels in the area, that when this one adverised a noon check in, it won us over as we had an early morning drive there and a couple of early days planned. We arrived to a nearly empty lot 10 am and I inquired as to early check in, but was told it was not available unless an additional $25 was paid. They also said that they no longer honored the noon check in and I could not check in until after 3pm. Did I mention the place was nearly empty... I used the time to aquire accomodations at a different motel for the next two days...

Nice and low price
I give it 4 out of 5 because its price was really a good deal. 2 hours driving to Yosemite visitor center, next to gas stations, MacDonald and Starbucks. The motel owner has very good service quality though one of his employer is not very professional, didn’t reset our key properly, fortunately the owner past by and corrected it and had the key sent to our room. Furnished with microwave ,refrigrator and ironing table. Outdoor pool looks clean but the weather was too hot to swim. Few flies around but no biggie, you see that inside MacDonald too.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
It’s a nice place to stay if you plan to visit Yosemite on next day. 2 hours driving wasn’t too bad and we saved bunch of bucks if compared to stay inside the park.

Beautiful Area
I was pleasantly surprised to find that even though the hotel was right off a major interstate, there was little or no traffic noise interrupting my sleep. During my six day stay I was treated with respect and courtesy by all of the hotel staff.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
The town of Chowchilla has a beautiful main street with palm trees lining it and the city park in the heart of downtown. I found myself "cruising" just to take in the view.
