Excellent location/comfort/price near the Grand Canyon
First, it is a Marriot hotel (positive attribute). Desk staff were extremely courteous and helpful at all times. The room on the first floor was clean and well above average for a two star rating. Continental breakfast was above average and pleasurable. Rate was excellent and location perfect for Grand Canyon visit.
First trip to Grand Canyon. We drove from Phoenix to Williams via Flagstaff in 2.5 hours on a weekday at mid-day (off traffic congestion hours). We stopped in Flagstaff which I recommend-visit vistors center first. Williams is a nice launching point to the GC but start early. when in flagstaff, purchase enough liquids for you - cooler with ice would be refreshing.

Good stay for a small town
We stayed at this hotel to save a little money for a trip to the Grand Canyon. The hotel is only 60 miles away and located in a small town. This hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff was nice and the breakfast was filling. Not what we expected for a small town and it stays true to the Marriot good name.
