By NO means a 2 star Hotel!
What can I say except it was under construction. We had to park far back from our room because they were doing work on the roof & power washing the building. There were boards with rusty nails out & in the pool & spa. The room did NOT have a coffee pot or a hair dryer like it states.. There was no toilet paper, no remote for the TV & no stopper for the tub. The room was smelly & dirty. The lamp didn’t work & there was water damage to the floors. I booked 2 queen beds & got 2 full. The staff did bring us a remote after we called down for one. There was a used drinking cup on the floor of our room when we arrived. They were working on the hotel but for a 2 star hotel the rooms were in deplorable shape.

Needs maintenance
Front desk couldn’t have been nicer. The hotel is run down and had to try a few rooms before found something that suited. There are several people living there who may have been forced out of their normal lives through hurricanes or other disasters. Sort of scary seeing them hang out, but they were all very friendly.

South Padre Island beaches are just about 45 minutes drive away.

We would stay there again
Due to the resent storm they had just experienced it was understandable that everything was not in order. However the staff made up for some of the items that were not up to par.
