Not Impressed

I should have read the reviews prior to booking this room but did read the reviews before getting there. Based on the reviews, I was unsure if we were going to be able to stay but still hoped for the best. Upon check-in, the clerk did not have the correct reservations and was less than gracious about having to change them. There wasn’t an ashtray provided because the clerk said they didn’t have any. There were no towels in the room. I called the desk to get some but still had to go down the next morning and get them myself Thankfully, the AC worked; but by the end of our two night stay, it was draining into the room. We also ran out of toliet paper but had a fresh box of tissue. The room appeared to be clean, but I had serious doubts that it was cleaned to standards. The coffee maker in the room had a used filter pack in it, and the motel’s coffee wasn’t worth drinking. If you’re travelling with a dog and want to smoke in your room, this place may be your only choice. Be advised to bring your own towels, ashtray, coffee and Lysol.

Not impressed

When I arrived at the hotel and went into my room the air conditioner was froze up. It was 98 degrees outside and instead of the hotel trying to make other arrangements for me and my family they gave me a box fan and was told that give the air a couple of hours and see what happens! Not was what I would call good customer service! WIll never go back!!

Not impressed at all!

First of all, on Expedia the name of the hotel was Inn of Gulfshores. So we passed the hotel 3 times to find out it was Quality Inn. Well there was nothing quality about it. The floors were never vaccumed well and the bathroom floors had hair on them. We found a towel hanging on the shower from a previous occupant. After my first night a bug crawled out of my purse. When I complained, the manager did offer us another room. I went outside to talk it over with my husband, and when I came back in I overheard the manager saying "Our hotel is for budget-minded people who want to be close to the beach." Well it is not all that close to the beach. I told the front desk clerk, who looked at me as if I was an alien the whole time, that at the very minimum, anyone wants their room to be clean. I can understand not having maybe all the ammenities, but cleanliness-is that too much to ask? If I have to pay the higher price for a clean room, then from here on out, that is what I will do. I will never stay here or any other Quality Inn ever again!

Traveler's tip on local attractions

They have nice places for the children to play and keep them entertained. "The Tracks" was a lot of fun. My husband and I enjoyed that as much as the kids did!
