Not a good experience
Hotel was not particularly clean but facilities were ok. My major complaint was the lack of staff mainly at the front desk and complete failure to address or even return a phone call concerning double billing my room charge.

Not Impressed at All
I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. Front part of hotel was very nice. However the rooms need major updating! TV was small and old, remote hardly worked, beds were old foam beds, and the bath had no fan and the water smelled dusty. One one elevator worked for an 8 floor hotel. The breakfast staff was not very friendly and the hotel resturant would not pick up the room service phone. I was transferred back to front desk 5 or 6 times as I waited for well over 10 minutes. I finally went down to order and there was only 3 tables being occupied, yet the waiter stated he was so busy!! I even purchased the additional breakfast on Expedia yet I had to argue with the front desk. Finally they gave in and gave me ONE. Yet I paid for TWO! After an hour of arguing they finally gave in. Funny thing is that others had the same issue. If there is a next time, I will look elsewhere!!
Traveler's tip on dining
Here are a couple of great places to eat. Red, Hot & Blue. A BBQ resturant of ribs, wings, and other food. Great staff, good prices, and awesome environment. The Flying Biscuit. I resturant that serves mostly breakfast items but has the best biscuits I have ever had. If you go I suggest the Salmon Scrambler. You will not be disappointed!!

Great Beds, close to NC State
We stayed at the Brownstone Inn because all of their rooms (except the ground floor) have Tempurpedic mattresses. The bed was very comfortable, now we cant wait to buy one for home. The shower in the hotel was also great -- spacious with good water pressure, always important. Hotel is the best one for people who want to stay close to NC State campus.
