Very nice for the price

Stayed in the hotel for one night, and would stay again if in the area. Easy drive from downtown Richmond in a nice area. 24hr Denneys next door made dining conveniant. The complimentary breakfast was good, it tasted fresh and had variety. The room was comfortable, but the TV had poor reception. I only stayed one night so I didn’t ask for it to be fixed.

Great place tos stay

The hotel staff was very attentive and friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the location couldn’t have been better.

Okay hotel for the price

My shower didn’t work but they gladly moved me and the second room was much more cozy, comfy, and just had a better feel to it. For someone wanting a decent place for a little bit of money I would suggest this one

Nice clean, good size rooms for a good price!

good price but be aware:

Hotel service was wonderful. In first room assigned the phone didn’t work. The 2nd room had wet carpeting from the arctic air conditioning. In the 3rd and final room, the refrigerator didn’t work. But they allowed us to store our food in the refrigerator in the kitchen. Carpet in the halls looked dirty. Breakfast was ample, though as expected for the price, consisted mostly of breads and cereals. Smoking by the front door often made the lobby smell of smoke. All of the above was acceptable given the low price. Location was great, quiet, safe, and very near many shopping and restaurant options. Room was large enough and beds were comfortable. Some mold on shower curtain. The reason for not recommending the hotel: large cockroach in the lobby.

Hotel had everything I needed. Very convenient to major highways.

Good Value

The hotel is a little dated, but is fairly well maintained. The building does not have central AC, so the lobby and halls can get warm in the summer months. The rooms are nothing fancy, but are clean and comfortable. The staff was nice and very helpfull. Nice continental breafast.

The rooms were outdated with old furniture and fixtures, yet it was convenient and was perfectly acceptable considering the low price.

Traveling and need a room for the night

The hotel was nice and quiet. A great spot to stop over when you need to be close to the beltway. I enjoyed the continental breakfast and the staff was so courteous. The rate was great too!

The front desk were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I was not impressed with breakfast. Overall good for the price.

i did have problem with light in the bathroom.but other than that i loved the room.is my only place from on i would ever stay in.

Great value!!

This is by far one of the nicest Days Inns I have stayed in. The breakfast was more than the average "free continental", the location was great, very clean and staff was very friendly. I would definitely go back to this hotel if I’m in the Richmond area.

Great room, great price.

The rate was fair, the room was clean, and the motel in better/safer part of Richmond. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel staff were polite and helpful. The room was clean. The hotel provided a roll away bed free of charge which I appreciated. The free breakfast was plentiful and had a nice variety of foods to choose from.

Misled About Deluxe Room

The only difference between a regular room with two beds and a deluxe room with two beds is a tiny bottle of water and a bag of popcorn, which is definitely NOT worth the extra $16.00 charge. Don’t try to "upgrade"--it’s just a ploy.

Ok place to stay IF you are ONLY staying for a weekend. Overall cleanliness of the hotel and the room was very poor.

First choice in Richmond

Located very closed to any convienience you may need. This facility has always been clean and comfortable when I visited there. This is my first choice when visiting Richmond.

Not bad for the money, but....

I believe you get what you pay for, and my stay was no exception. My buddy and I were in town for a guy’s weekend of drinking and other debauchery. We really just wanted an inexpensive room with beds, a fridge, and a shower. For the few bucks we shelled out, those objectives were easily met. For anyone accustomed to high quality accommodations, look elsewhere. The room did have many defects (stained/damaged carpets, toilet, shower, etc). The main thing though that was really disgusting - the elevators smelled very strongly of wet dog. That said, the hotel staff was very nice and friendly. They even allowed me to keep my car parked there an extra night as I went to the beach for another night of fun. A downer though -too often, many staff were hanging around the entrance, smoking by the doorway. I’d go back to this hotel for a cheap place to stay with my buddies. With my wife and daughter though, I think I’d spend the extra dough to go elsewhere.h.

Traveler's tip on dining

O’Charley’s a few blocks down Broad Street is a pretty good restaurant/bar similar to Applebee’s in price and ambience. Denny’s is next to the hotel, and is, well, Denny’s. Good "drunk food" at 3am though.

For the price, I’ve never been more pleased with a hotel in Richmond. Highly recommended. Would definitely stay there again.

Good location

This was a great location,right off the Interstate and Denny’s is right next door. Staff was excellent and very helpful with special request.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

This was a great hotel for the price and within minutes of downtown and close to several large businesses within the area.Very clean and the staff was excellent.

Disappointed - not impressed

Stay was for two nights - 8/8,9/2008. Hotel, overall, was dirty-elevator carpeting dirty and smell of smoke; room carpeting was dirty; bed linens were dingy (one pillow case had to be removed/could not possibly use); toilet ran continuously-could not flush (repair was attempted); water ran from tub, flooding the floor; bed was too soft; refrig in desperate need of defrosting. Some staff rude, giving poor directions to hotel.

Many fine restaurants and shopping nearby. Close access to I64. Good/free internet access and printing; good/plentiful continental breakfast.
