My favorite hotel
I have stayed at the Alton Comfort Inn many times and expect to go back again in the near future. The clerk is always friendly, helpful and attentive. The rooms are clean and attractive. I recommend this hotel highly.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
It is always fun to visit Alton, IL. I love to drive up the Great River Road; see the Piasa Bird; eat fresh catfish and see the beautiful Alton bridge. There are very good restaurants, shopping and antiques. I also recommend the Lewis and Clark museum in Hartford, IL. This is a great place for a family visit. I hope others will learn to love Alton, IL as much as I have.

nice place
We have stayed there several times. The rooms are clean and actually quite spacious. The hotel is quiet. The breakfast is fresh and readily available. The staff has always been kind and courteous. Would definitely recommend it as the place to stay.
