VERY Hawaiian!
This was our first trip to Kauai after visiting Maui. The grounds at this place are absolutely gorgeous - especially the orchid garden!! Everyone is very friendly and quick to satisfy. There is a shopping center directly across the street which is not noticeable from the main street. Convenient location too! We definitely recommend staying here!

Great place to stay
We took a family vacation (four) and stayed at the Kiahuna plantation for a week. The location is fabulous and the hotel staff were friendly. The condo units are nicely appointed and stocked with supplies for cooking and enjoying a stay. Its close to a Big Save for shopping - 5 min drive. It was quiet at night even on the weekend. The beach is awesome because you can snorkel out front and its a quick walk to the nearest surf point at Nukumoi and a little further walk to more snorkeling and body surfing at Poipu Beach - all walking right along the beach. The only not so great thing was the couch bed mattress - it was really bad. I guess since it’s privately owned it’s up to the owner to furnish, but generally our unit was nicely done. The pool is across the road, so it’s not that convenient if you have smaller kids and go there a lot (which we didn’t). I would definitely stay there again.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
If you’re into the ocean - take your snorkel gear so you can take advantage of this Poipu beachfront location. If you surf and want to avoid the hassel, you can rent boards at Nukumoi (0.5 miles from the hotel) or across the road - they’re epoxy, but functional. There’s a lot of flat lawn for fun too.

Can’t wait to go back!
The location is the best in Poipu. We’ve been to Kauai several times and we always return to the Kiahuna Plantation. It’s relaxing, beautiful and on a fun beach. Irene
