Beware of the Breakfast....

The room was nice enough and it is convenient to have the parking garage. What I liked best about my stay was the convenient location. The hotel could use a little sprucing up, but all in all the room was clean. The biggest joke was their so called Continental Breakfast, which consisted of white or wheat bread and butter, no jam, no danish, no cereal, no fruit. Why even bother putting out a jail house breakfast?

Definitely one of Miami’s best

The hardwood floors in the room was a definitely bonus for me. The room was very clean and quiet and additional towels soap ect. were made readily available.

Be Prepared to Wait

We booked this hotel at the beginning and the end of a cruise so that we could use their shuttle to and from the airport and the port of Miami. Although they do have a free shuttle service, you can expect to wait if you need to be picked up from the airport or the port of Miami. We waited for almost 1 1/2 hours. If you are leaving the hotel, make sure that you check with the front desk the night before, and again the morning. And be ready on time as they will leave if you’re not there waiting to go. Also it’s best if you are not in a hurry as you might be late depending on traffic or the shuttle. It appears that there’s only one shuttle, and the driver has to go between the port, the airport and other destinations. With the traffic it can take some time to make the rounds. Breakfast is just coffee and toast. The juice machine says that it’s broken, but I know that it’s never going to be repaired. Juice is too expensive to give out. The price is really cheap, and the rooms are ok. So given the price and the fact that we weren’t in a hurry it was ok. But you get what you pay for.

"Worst Hotel Experience"

This hotel was my worst vacation experience. First of all, the room looks like my 5 yr old son just threw a slab of wood on the floor with elmers glue. the room was very cold and the was no working temp comtrol. there was continental breakfast which includes:bread,butter, and ice water. There were no wash clothes in the room. Oh and you do have to pay for parking!!

Ok for one night

Stayed at this hotel one night before a cruise, My first reason for staying there was that they offered free shuttle to and from the airport and the cruise port which could save you tons on cab fair. But you get what you pay for, I waited 2 and 1 half hours to get picked up from the airport in 90 dregree weather.I called them every half hour and they kept saying there on the way. Hotel it self wasn’t bad. They offer a "continental breakfast" which consists of coffee and you make yourself toast. But don’t be a minute alte or ask for an extra slice of toast. Overall for one night waiting for a cruise it was ok but not any more than that.

If you want to save a few bujcks use this hotel because it was cheap and offered free airport and cruise shuttle, as taxi’s are very costly in Miami

Good for a one night stay. Part of 2, but only had 1 washcloth when asked for another, told front desk did not have any. Nothing else done.

Not Impressed

The problem with this hotel, stems from the manager, who is rude and discusses issues that should not be discussed in front of other guests. The service generally was poor and the continental breakfast was a joke. At one stage there was no hot water in our room which prompted us to move to another hotel. Although the tariff is resonable staying at this hotel is not cost effective because one has to go out and spend money on a decent breakfast. Our room was clean and serviced every day, but generally the reception staff were uncooperative. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

Worst Hotel Ever

This hotel reeked of mildew, there was filthy ragged carpet stepping into the bathroom, there was no threshold between the hardwood and tile, the toilet ran all night, the faucet in the tub dripped, there was no plug in the bathtub and because of the constant water drip in the tub there were barnicles growing in the drain. They offered shuttle service to the hotel, but it wasn’t available and we had to pay $32 for a taxi which they wouldn’t reimburse. I would like all of my money back, the cost of the hotel and the taxi.

I had a great experience at this hotel the price was the best around and the area was so nice! miami has a lot of areas that are not safe but this is not one...there are places to eat around and cvs and blockbuster anything u need.

You Get What You Pay For....

My now husband and I were just looking for a cheap hotel to saty for one night before leaving for a cruise for our honeymoon and man did we find it!! Overall it wasn’t terrible but I wasn’t impressed. My husband and I both felt like the hotel had been sitting vacant for a long period of time before new management took over. The rooms were dirty. We requested a non-smoking room and got a smoking room. The only part I was impressed with was the pool. The hotel itself is beautiful but the rooms do not reflect the granite floors & counter tops you see in the lobby. For the price, I’d stay a night or 2 again but definitely wouldn’t use it as my only destination.

University visit

Hotel is convenient to U of Miami and comfortable for sleep. Didn’t plan to have the continental breakfast as read previous reviews. Room had fridge and microwave so very convenient for quick meals. Coffee was available in lobby. Parking cost only $7.50 a day. Front lobby staff friendly and courteous - pool was refreshing. Not a luxurious hotel but clean and comfortable.

a place to sleep

The information on the hotel site was far from up to date. No refrigerator in room- site said there was. Parking is not included. TV stopped working and there was no fix or replacement by the time we left 2 days later. Breakfast is bread and coffee, tea or water only (I do not consider that a continental breakfast). The problem was in the management but the staff tried to do there best however the management did not support the staff.

Not impressed

Service was not good. The room phone did not work event asked for 3 times. Room equipment conditions were not good. Some of them did not work or work properly. Only thing let me fell better was the pool.

Good location

Breakfast only included bread and coffee with just one toaster. They should have at least bagels or muffins.

unfriendly staff, breakfast was a joke (coffee and toast, all was cleared away at 9 o’clock sharp), contrary to the hotel description there was no wireless in the rooms, only the pool was nice. Never again

The Continental Breakfast does not exist!!! They just gave me a black coffee with a white bread an a glass of the water. The employee that served this "Continental Breakfast" has a nasty attitude. I never come back to this hotel.

Bugs

My friend and I stayed in a double bed room and only my bed actually had bedbugs. This is my only complaint, the decor of the rooms aren’t amazing, the service was OK and I missed out on the continental breakfast each morning, which problably would’ve been the highlight of my stay. One plus is that they do have a small/medium pool, which was kept up to par.

Stay Away!

Non-existant service. The worst continental breakfast everr: white bread and jelly and coffee. Dirty pool. Uncaring staff. Phones didn’t work, so no shuttle from airport. Had to pay $42 for a cab ride instaed. Staff didn’t care.

The name BEST must be changed !!!

Well, I travel a lot: North America and Europe. This was the WORST experience I ever had, absolutely. You better watch for your valuables, keep them in your car or just don’t bring any. Some of my posessions were stolen from my room, and the front desk was so unhelpful. The whole management stinks. My vacation was destroyed. It’s a good lesson of trust. I understand that they don’t have too many guests/money but the breakfast was a joke. Well, you have what you pay for, I guess. But never again.

Going back on next vacation trip!!

The hotel was great. Other people who have stayed in this hotel in the past have wroten bad reviews about it but I have no idea what they are talking about. I stayed there for 10 days and it was great. NO noises, very clean and friendly customer service great room price’s. When I go back to Florida I do plan to stay in this hotel again!!!
