what a change this was!
We took another trip to the area on our bike. When we got to our room, it was a shock! The bed was made but the sheets had not been changed! The person who had vacuumed left some bits of clothing tags on the floor, there was a used plastic glass from Culver’s in the cabinet above the sink, and only one set of towels in the bathroom. The manager did clean the room while we were gone, and had offered us another room, but I liked the location of this one. As always, the bed was very comfortable, and the breakfasts were good. They had a social hour with beer, pop, and tacos, but did not attend since we were going to have pizza that night. They had also gotten some new sofas and chairs in the rooms but we didn’t care for them as they were as hard as rocks, and not very attractive.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
We liked the Chevrolet museum, and the square downtown was very nice. Don’t look for many of the other attractions to be open- the Mueller museum has limited hours, and if you’re going to drive to Monticello during the week, don’t waste your time. I kinda wished we had gone somewhere else after it was all said and done.
