Plan to stay again

Great location right near expressway, nearby the town and was better than expected. Staff was professional and courteous, room was well kept. Did not try the restaurant but have heard nothing but good things about it. Am stayimg there again in a few weeks as they have earned my continued business.

Starting to look rundown

I booked a four star hotel and frankly it was not as nice as I expected. Burned out light bulbs over the bathroom sink and just a general feeling that the room had seen better days and need an upgrade. Okay if this was a three star or less but I expect more at a four star hotel. Room service meal was delivered without a cover over the food. It is the details that make the difference.

Smell was overwhelming

We booked a non-smoking room for one night in July. Because of our late arrival the only room left was a smoking room. We have had to stay in smoking rooms before, but this one must have housed a smoker’s convention. It was overpowering and we were never able to get used to it. It was hard to get to sleep and stay asleep because of the odor. We also found evidence that the room was not cleaned well (food on the floor, etc). What looked promising from the driveway and lobby became one of our worst hotel experiences. We tried to contact the hotel management when we returned home, but no one ever responded.

Very Good Hotel

The staff was very helpful. I needed an early check in for a wedding and they managed to get me one for the time I needed even though the hotel was completely booked.

Dropped the Ball

Our stay was a series of annoyances. Coffee is a major requirement in the morning, and was unavailable in the lobby, and the restaurant didn’t open until 8:00 AM. HUGE problem. There is a coffee maker in the lobby, but there were no pods. You’d almost think it would be a good idea to go out and get some. Also - I called to let the hotel know that we’d require a rollaway bed, and that we’d be getting in late. I was surprised that we had to call for the bed from the room. We hoped to be going right to sleep, but no...

The welcome mat is out.

The hotel staff was very friendly and wanted our stay to be comfortable. The pool area and deck needed some attention, but the hotel rooms and other areas were maintained well. The bar and restaurant were satisfactory - limited hours in both. A comfortable place to stay and very convenient to the express way and NYS Truway.

I would be tempted to go back to the area just to stay at the hotel!

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

What a beautifully maintained hotel. The room was immaculate. The atmosphere was so calming. the staff were very nice and helpfull. I just spent a weekend at the Hilton in Austin and spent twice that for rude staff and no frig. Wish there was a Brookwood Inn there!

A great find

We drove 6 hours to watch our son’s soccer game at the University of Rochester. We picked this hotel last minute and were very please with it. It was easy to find - right off the highway. It was also very convenient to Rochester. Nice rooms for the price and we had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant. The staff was friendly. Would absolutely stay there again.

Very nice

Very nice hotel. The bathroom and rooms were very nicely furnished. Only negative: The AC clunked when it came on and off.

Great hotel

Didn’t know what to expect when I booked the hotel, but it fit our needs perfectly. Great pool and work out facility. Would definitely stay again and would refer to anyone staying in the area.

If you like to continue your exercise regime while on the road you won’t be disappointed.

Ask for 3 Keys

It took us three tries to get room keys that opened the door to our room. Ask for at least 3 keys if they are using the keys with a picture on them (the "white" keys work a lot better...no picture). Also the ice machine on our floor did not work and no sign directing you to another machine was present. Room itself was fine. At checkout, front desk did not ask "How was your stay?"

Bike along the Canal...not that far from the hotel.

The hotel was perfect. Easy to get to right off the expressway. Very clean, good staff, and great service.

Would Recomend Highly

Good Food on site, nice bar. Well staffed, all at a great price. Gym was not in service which brought down the stay, but we got to use the pool very early. Thanks to the staff.

Acceptable to the fussy

Hotel was clean and quiet. They gave us a smoking room at first, though we had requested non-smoking. They changed it for us with no protest. Elevator was slow and the carpet had a sort of "damp" feeling. But other than that, I was satisfied and I tend to be picky.

Cold Weather Spot

I’ve stayed at this hotel twice in the past 2 months and have been satisfied both times. The lobby is well appointed and the staff are helpful. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The rates are somewhat high, but not unreasonable.
