Value Alternative for Eastside Rochester Metro
Overall, a good experience. Microtel is a value location, a place to use as a base for day trips in the area. It is near a Thruway and local freeway ramps, but off a secondary road, Since it is adjacent to the Thruway some rooms will be quieter than others. A number of restaurants and a major shopping mall are minutes away. It was popular with travelers and is also is the motel of choice for out of town construction/utility workers temporarily in the area. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast seemed extensive for the price point with a choice of bagels/toast/muffins/hot and cold cereal. The friendly attendant kept it well stocked. Free Wi-Fi was easy to use and reliable. Our only concern was non-smoking room were too near non-smoking room and some of the workers would smoke and keep their door cracked open to the hallway. If our choice, it would be 100% no-smoking. Alternatives in the area are fancier, but cost a lot more. If you want to stay in the area at this price point, this Microtel is likely to be your choice.

cheap price, great quality
Having stayed at several hotels in the area before, this one was a wonderful surprise. It was half the price of the other chains but still good quality. The room was clean with new furnishings. It was quiet and the staff was pleasant. The location just off the main expressways. Even the breakfast was good with a variety of choices.
