Getting there: From Monterey Peninsula Airport, taxis ($16–$35) are readily available outside baggage claim. From San Jose International Airport, the Monterey/Salinas Air Bus provides shuttle service to downtown Monterey for a flat fee of $30. For an additional fee of $25, the shuttle takes guests directly to Carmel Valley Ranch. Reservations are strongly recommended. Rental cars are a convenient option and are available online.
Getting around: Because of the Carmel Valley Ranch's secluded location, the best choice for local travel is a rental car. The resort can also call for taxi service.
