What to expect: The Carmel Valley Ranch Resort's 400 acres are landscaped with flowers, plants, and trees, including signature oaks and weeping willows. The main lodge’s lounge area offers cushioned seating warmed by a stack-rocked, wood-burning fireplace. Views from floor-to-ceiling windows might reveal wild turkeys resting on tree branches or grazing deer.
Amenity highlights: Located in a scenic valley, the ranch's Pete Dye-designed golf course features enlarged greens and augmented tee grounds.
Other recreational facilities include 12 tennis courts, with professional instruction available (surcharge). A fitness center offers free weights and a variety of cardio and strength-training equipment. Two outdoor splash pools amd spa tubs are available, as are in-room spa treatments (surcharge).
