Extremely noisy
We had a room facing the highway. The traffic noise was insupportable. We stayed for two nights and couldn’t wait to leave. The staff was very helpful and cordial. They seemed to agree with the noise complaint. The rooms were a bit cramped. The bathroom was miniscule with no place to put anything, including a toothbrush. Very poor design. There is no refrig,microwave or any such convenience in the room. Not a comfortable stay for two people.

Great value for the price
My wife and I used this hotel as a central point for seeing the San Francisco area...including sailing out of the Richmond Yacht Club. The San Rafael area worked perfectly for that and the hotel itself was convenient to highway 101, so we could get anywhere fast. The price we paid with breakfast buffet included was good compared to other hotels we checked out. We will be back next year.

Not easy to find
This hotel is located on a hill, off a main (busy) road. Even with our GPS we had difficulty getting there. But once there the hotel was satisfactory. Breakfast was not included in our reservation and I must say the price for the buffet breakfast was high. Unless you eat a hugh breakfast, better to order off the menu.
