Excellent, roomy suite; great location
We were surprised at how nice this hotel was for the money. We had a roomy 2 room suite, which was great for our teenage daughter. The room also came with fridge, sink, wifi, 2 TVs, VCR. The hotel has been newly remodeled and the furnishings looked new. The outside did not reflect how nice it was on the inside. The complimentary breakfast was excellent also.
Traveler's tip
We were traveling to Lawrence University. The hotel is on the same street as the college, which makes it very convenient. It is the main street in Appleton’s downtown area. Although it is not within walking distance of Lawrence, it is an easy 10 minute drive. There are a lot of shops, services and restaurants along the way. It is also very close to the local mall.

Would not choose this property again
The 1st room we had advertised a queen size bed, if it was it was the smallest queen size I’ve ever been in. We switched to a king suite the last night and apparently there was a dog in the room previously and my wife who is very allergic to dogs had a severe allergy attack. The hotel immediately changed the bedding, but my wife suffered until her drugs kicked in.
