Our new hotel in Springfield
We will be staying at LaQuinta South when we visit Springfield from now on. We were very impressed with the service, cleanliness and location. The staff was very friendly. The contenintal breakfast was amazing. We have two dogs and there is a very large, easy to get to area for walking. There is also no extra charge for pets. Great parking. The room was very clean and the added inroom movies and games available was a fun surprise. The room also had a microwave, fridge, coffee maker, safe and blowdryer. Take your own shampoo as the ones there are very small. The indoor pool is nice but the chlorine level was too high and my childrens eyes burned after swimming. We love this hotel!
Traveler's tip on local attractions
On the same road is the BassPro Shop, also a great pizza play place with indoor fun, gocarts and games. Driving in Springfield is a challenge, plan on extra drive time and use alternate streets when possible.

Don’t leave any of your items at all behind even for an hour!
So, the hotel was a great stay at first. Very comfortable bed and room. However its the whole experience that yields the entire report. Within 4 hours of leaving the hotel, we accidently left our recently washed white clothes behind on the bed. Went Back to the hotel to pick them up and found that they immediately threw away the socks, separated the shirts and put them in as rags with their cleaning supplies and were going to donate the white sports jerseys. I understand a no hold policy, but it wasn’t but 4 hrs before coming back the same day and not even getting a phone call to see if you are still in the area to pick these items up. Just that experience alone will definitely not be receiving my business ever again especially with a wedding coming up, those rooms will definitely be rented elseware. Beware!!!!
