very scary

this place was not well maintained and had a very eary feeling. the clerk was not very happy that our plane was delayed in dallas for 6 hours, so we arrived late and awoke him, but neither were we. when we opened the door to the room it felt like we were walking into a oven, it was very hot.

Tear This Place Down

And that word is "Don’t! This place was filthy. Cobwebs, a hole in the bathroom door, someone had pulled out the cabinet from the wall in the bathroom... and this was after we were switched (with a bit of insistence) to a "non smoking" room that didn’t smell like cigarette smoke. After one night, I couldn’t stand it, and we went somewhere else. We were supposed to stay for three. They were the lucky ones; they already had my money. I think I was more amazed that the proprietor couldn’t understand why we were upset! This place might be better off torn down.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Try somewhere else.

A complete sham

Hotel is a dump, was in a 104 degree weather with no a/c. Managment would not refund my money. Thanks to expedia I received a coupon for a future travel date.

Don’t plan a trip here, pool was filthy.

THE SCARIEST MOST UGLIEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!

My girlfriend & I had to take turns sleeping because we were afraid to close our eyes. First of all the parking lot was empty (red flag). Second the room smelled like some dead bodies were left there. The room was disgusting, everything was dirty: floor, walls, mattress, broken blinds, loud AC, cigarette burns on the bedding, used soap bars left in the shower, dirty shower curtain, the light bulbs were not working, the locks were loose, suspicious individuals hanging out in the parking lot, the towels were rough, no hairdryer, no iron, no internet, no clock, dirty pool, God do I need to say more. It was the worst ever! I cant believe this establishment is still open. We even checked out early. This is a Travelers Beware Hotel!!!!Dont be fooled by the pictures its all a lie!!!

Mediocre at best

If all you are looking for is a no frills, inexpensive place to stay in Palm Springs then this is it. If you are looking for something more, you will be disappointed. Small room with a small TV and A/C works ok. Motel 6 would probably be a step above this. I would only recommend if you are on a budget and don’t care about accomodations.

Dirty & fear for your life

Not one single spot of my room was clean at all. The pool was full of bugs. The door knob were very loose and if you ram hard enough, you can open the door without using the key. Also no fire detector? Surprised this hotel isn’t shut down.

You get what you pay for...

This was the cheapest place to stay in Palm Springs that I could find on the internet. There is a reason for this. I stayed for two weeks and unless you ask for it, you won’t see maid service. The room was a bit rough, but for my needs was ok. A small TV and a noisy AC rounded out the room. It has a nice pool when it is warm out. But the hot tub wasn’t that hot, and nor was the water in the hotel. If you can rough it, it is a great place. A pizza hut across the street, and a liquor store right next door. It is a short bike ride from there to the center of palm springs, and about 4 miles from the airport.

Traveler's tip on dining

On weekdays and sunday’s many of the dining establishments close at 10pm, so think ahead if you want a late night snack. Shermans Deli on Tahquitz Canyon Way is exceptional, and an incredible value for the entire family. It can get busy at times, but is well worth the wait.

Not impressed

Went for the cheapest hotel and certainly got it. Room was simple and tidy but the shower was not clean nor the shower curtain. You know a good hotel when you feel like you’re the only one who has stayed in that room - I certainly didn’t feel that way here. Definite need for some updates to the rooms.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

If you’re in Palm Springs during the winter or spring take a hike up the Indian Canyons. Unique scenery with great trails and very close to town.

Really cheap and worth every penny

We always get the very cheapest accommodations available...and this one definitely fit the bill. Of course this means a lot of things will be far from perfect, but that is to be expected. In this case the room was a little grimy, the water coming from the faucet was very weak, the ice machine didn’t work and the jacuzzi was empty. But the pool was deep, clean, cool and refreshing (unlike at other desert motels where they heat it and the water is tepid) and the owner gave us some ice from his own freezer. This is clearly a family-owned business and they make you feel welcome.

Dusted fingerprints

I kid you not that there appeared to be dusted fingerprints on the walls and blood or other bodily fluids splattered on one of the walls. Not sure if it was a crime scene or if it was just really nasty. There was an adjoining room where our door did not lock. We barracaded the door with some of the hotel chairs for the night... It was cheap and the front desk was friendly but don’t expect too much.

Okay for the price

We stayed here one night only, we were meeting my dad in Palm Springs (the halfway point between my dad & us) to pick up my kids who had spent a few weeks with Grandpa for the summer. We decided to head up the night before & get some relax time so we wouldn’t be doing all the driving in one day. This motel is very inexpensive & you get what you pay for. The rooms could use updating, but as I said, it’s good for just one night. The owner operates the motel and is VERY nice! Room was clean, pool was nice.

Not Impressed

The room smelled funny. The door had a little bit of a whole in it.. Someone had kicked it or something. The place could use a little bit of a face lift. Over all it served its purpose.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

Played Golf at Desert Dunes. It was well worth playing. Great course and a serious challenge. I played from the tips. At 11a twilight rates kick in. $25 includes cart. I played on a Sunday, and no one was out there.. I finished in 3 hours!!

Keep one EYE open at all times.

I was so nervous sleeping here. Its was last minute planning but I really had chairs against the entry door and ajoining door. Did you watch Vacancy, well thats what I was expecting. I was so afraid to fall asleep. Even considered sleeping in my car. Was so Happy to check out first thing that morning.

Not impressed

It was clean but very much in need of repair. The ceiling over the bathtub/shower was peeling, the toilet paper holder was broken and not on the wall but laying on the sink, the air conditioner was very noisy (in Palm Springs where it’s needed) the outer door and doorknob didn’t seem very stable or secure, you could see holes on the wall where pictures were removed. However, the refrigerator and television worked and the pillows seemed new, the sheets seemed clean and the toilet and sink were clean.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

It was a relatively inexpensive hotel and if you are on a really tight budget and not too particular, and only staying one night, this hotel, although very basic, did serve a purpose.

Great Service and Value

I have stayed at this hotel on and off for the past 2 months for business purposes. My experience has been genuinely high quality. The rooms are large and clean and the service is excellent. The bathrooms are old, but they are kept clean and well maintained. Any patron’s requests are satisfied by the friendly manager. I read other reviews for this hotel and my experience has been the opposite of what they are saying. The bad reviews must be from this hotel’s competition. I believe that this hotel is high quality for its price, as long as you are not expecting the Hilton hotel. The hot tub and swimming pool are open 24 hours. There is a beautiful mountain view. Restaurants and shops are a short walk down the road. What more could I want?

renovations are badly needed

This motel needs major renovations. The shower head was barely adequate- old and loose. My sheet was not long enough to cover the bed. The TV remote was useless. Sound on the TV was intermittant. There was a cigarette butt in the window track of the bathroom. We requested use of the "public" computer at 8:30 PM and were told that the office management was asleep. This motel takes in money but isn’t willing to spend money to upgrade the place. This motel is barely adequate and not worth the fee for a night’s stay.
