A good place to use as your home in Springfield
My husband and I stayed at the Crowne Plaza two nights while we visited sites in Springfield related to Lincoln. The room was extremely comfortable and well furnished. We took advantage of the pool and sauna, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The lounge on the second level is a great place to relax and have a well-prepared mixed drink (also a good place to watch football). We ate at the seafood buffet Friday night and were impressed by the selection and the quality. All in all, a good experience.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Three attractions in Springfield are definitely worth visiting: the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Dana Thomas House (12,000 square feet on 16 levels!), the old capitol building (the guides are great!) and the three sites related to Abraham Lincoln - the museum (you won’t believe the size and use of technology), the home, and the gravesite. These three categories would easily fill two days of sightseeing.

great new hotel
Fantastic new hotel, clean, beautifully appointed, everything very nice. Only complaint - why the LOUD piped in pop music in every public space? CHeapens an otherwise very excellent hotel.

nice hotel
the hotel was very nice, the beds are comfortable. the room service part could be better. overall i would stay there again
