"Fantastic service, great value for money"

I just want to say thank you for making my trip to Miami so easeful. I travelled from Australia and it was great to get a late check in. It was 95 degrees outside when I got there so it was great to walk into a cool airconditioned room with an awesome view over the 3 pools. The room was clean, modern and well appointed. Room 309 has one of the best views of the pool and the large windows made it a pleasure to wake up in the morning. The shower was also one of the highlights. Set according to temperature it made the usually laborious task of getting the right hot water temperature an absolute breaze. Compared to other much more expensive hotels in the area, this was great value for money in the heart of South Beach. Would return in a heartbeat. Again thank you.

ehhh ok

where to begin with this review o boy. ok 1st off the location is great just 1 block from the beach and just 1 ave over from where all da action is which is ocean dr. honestly the hotel doesnt look like much from the outside and didnt have some of the basic things i thought eery hotel had in 2009(ex a microwave was nowhere to be found in the whole hotel). there were 2 pools and a tiny gym but we never got to use them because the hrs they were supposed to be in use were so lame. everytime we called the front desk to ask for somethin they never had it . overall though the staff was pretty nice but i wouldnt stay there again. next time im off to something on ocean drive

there were alot of restaurants that had deals going on it was easy to find an affordable one. if your into drinking then stop by mangos, fat tuesdays and wet willies

Average Hotel in Miami

We stayed here for about 3 days. The hotel has a friendly staff in the front if you have any questions, other than that, they don’t bother you. The actual room is clean. The bathroom has a shower with clear glass and it doesn’t have a door, so sometimes the water might splash onto the bathroom floor. The obvious problem with this is that only one person can be in the bathroom at a time (with usual hotels, one person can take a shower while another brushes their teeth, etc.). The room service was nice, and came around in the evening again to see if you needed any additional towels, etc. The location of the actual hotel is nice. It’s one block from the beach, and about a 5 minute walk to Wet Willies, Mangos, Clevelanders, and other very good places to eat/places to hang out at night. Overall, this is a good hotel if you are looking for a place to just sleep at night and will be out all day. Another couple side notes: 1. It also has a $10 additional fee, and I think most of the other hotels have a $15-20 fee. 2. It does not provide airport shuttle, so from Miami International to the Airport in a cab one way was $32. 3. It does not have a contract with the beach chairs, so each chair will cost $10, and each umbrella will cost $12 daily.

Book Carefully

We had to look at four rooms before we saw one that actually looked like a four star rated room. It required us upgrading to a Jr. Suite. The standard room is so small, I wouldn’t recommend it for more than one person and in some of them, the bed is righ across from the bathroom. The hotel staff was great and the bed linens were nice.

Traveler's tip on dining

Find places to eat that aren’t on Ocean Dr. The food their is expensive, they give large quantities, but it doesn’t taste that good. Watch the two for one drinks---sometimes, one drink is $25 (it is huge though).

Mold in the bathrooms, on the walls. Taxi in the morning was called when I cam down, rather waiting for me like they said - forgetful.

Shaky start, satisfactory end

Upon arrival, our room was not ready for almost 45 minutes after check in time. The room assigned was not clean at all and the bed was wet. We were switched to another room which was very satisfactory.

Apparently Graham bailed out of this one awhile ago!

Hotel Nash was an average hotel. Lobby leaves a lot to be desired and rooms are very small but not too bad. Watch out for the "resort fee" that they trick you into initialing when you check in. When you go to check out, they nail you for $15 extra. A "resort fee" is for the use of the pool chairs and towels even if you dont use them. I found this to be deceptive and would expect that use of the pool and chairs would be included in the ridiculous rate that they charge you. The desk clerks had no personality or sense of humor. Will not be back to this one.

Traveler's tip for business travelers

Watch the "Resort Fee" that they trick you into agreeing to when you check in.

Not up to par.

It may have been due to the off-season, but the hotel was not what we expected. Having read about the younger crowd and night life, we were disappointed to find the property mostly abandoned. Even the restaurant/bar was permanantly closed. Room was nice and clean, but expected more from an Art Deco hotel. We also didn’t appreciate the "Resort Fee." When Expedia quotes a price including taxes and fees, I don’t expect to get hit with another charge at check-in. It was for use of the pool (jacuzzi size) and fitness room, but the pool was being worked on and the fee was not optional.

Nothing special, but the location is great

The hotel is just a block from the beach, with all of the major restaurants, bars, clubs in South Beach within walking distance. And if it’s too hot to walk even half a mile (which it might be, we’re talking about Florida after all), the So. Beach Local shuttle bus runs practically right by the hotel and costs 25 cents a ride.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Don’t pack towels for the beach because they give them to you in the hotel to take (that way you don’t have to repack sandy towels). And if you go during low season, ask for a room upgrade and they’ll most likely give you one if it’s available.

Eerily Quiet Hotel

There was nothing really wrong for the hotel, except that it felt like we where all by ourselves. We were there for five days and did not cross paths with any other guests. While there was always one person at the reception desk, there was never anyone at the bar or spa. If you want to use the gym I recommend that you skip it and go run on the beach. I would recommend the hotel if you want a clean place to stay but don’t expect much else.

Traveler's tip on nightlife

I highly recommend Hispanola Way, but skip it if you want to eat; all of the restaurants are highly overpriced and they always include a 18% tip to the bill w/o your permission (It applies to all eateries in South Beach). Cafe Barcelona and Tapas y Tintos have a great wine menu and relaxed Mediterranean vibe.

Hidden Resort Fees

Hotel is very nice and comfort, however upon checking in you’re alerted about resort fees which are approximately $10 a day which are not indicated when you book your reservations on Expedia. Please be aware of these hidden cost.

Nice Hotel centrally located

The Nash was a nice step up from The Chesterfield, which is where we stayed the first night in SoBe. Staff was very plesant and helpful, but would not cash a traveler’s cheque for fare to the airport! we were enamoured with the pools in the outside courtyard; since they were shallow "sitting-type pools" they were too warm for comfort.

Nice little hotel

We thought everything was comfortable and really clean. The staff was friendly, very young though. They answered our questions about the area, but we travel well prepared and find what we want- dining, beaches, museums by ourselves. The hotel lobby is minimalistic. Good air conditioning though in the lobby and the room. If you want the beach, walk a block or two, it was wonderful. The outdoor pool is not adequate, just three tiny rectangles.Did not use the restaurant. Great restaurants are a block away. Safe location and clean streets, but there is a lot of building renovation (and empty buildings) and construction noise. We were up and out early and there was no noise after 5 PM or so. Very lively area and lots of tourists around. Bus nearby is a quarter. Lots of trendy shops, but also tourist shops. We liked it! (Yes,a safe in the room!) Reasonable rate, but for the South Beach area, consider it inexpensive.

Traveler's tip on dining

Walk around the area before you choose a restaurant. There are many, especially along Ocean Drive and then on Lincoln Rd. We recommend trying the small Cuban restaurants and MedGrill. Really cheap. The Wolfsonian Museum on Washington Av. has a small but great cafe. (Dont miss the Museum) There is also a cute little French Patisserie nearby.(Forgot the name) Great pastries and good coffee.

Add $10 a day resort fee?? NO AC

The lobby, bar, and pool area were very nice. I was expecting this hotel to be a lot nicer based off the reviews and price of the rooms. On Friday night at 2 am in the morning when I returned to my room my AC was not working. I had to pack all of my belongings back into a suit case and switch rooms at 230 in the morning. I was not very happy and when I asked the front desk to waive the $10 a day resort fee? non mentioned they did not. For the incoinvenience I experience they could have waive the $20 fee. Also I didnt notice expedia mentioning a $10 a day resort fee. Should I have been charged this?

First i did the reservation a month and a half before and they gave me the worst room, next to the elevator son the mashine from the elevator every time someone call it soun in my room, second the room was next to the housekeeping room so all the ladies were talking, laughing since very early and the door from the room were doing so much noise every time they opened and taht was every five minuts. I complained and the ladie from de front desk was ro rude. The worst experience.

Great location!

this hotel has a great location, close by the beach, restaurants and stores, room are clean, but very small, there is a big closet with bath robes, there is a full fridge, but you have to pay for anything you eat or drink, unforunately the restaurant was closed when we were there, there are pools, but they are to small to swim in

Traveler's tip on local attractions

many resturants, bars, clubs and boutiques around, do not really need a car if you don’t mind walking for 10-15 minutes,

Great Potential

The hotel is very modern and in a great location. If they just extended the bar to the pool and front porch and put out a sign advertising it there would be a lot more action going on there and it would be a lot more fun. Also, there is the makings of a restaurant but no food provided there. The mattresses were too firm. Overall the hotel was excellent. It is very nice, clean, modern and a great place to stay that I would highly recommend. We really enjoyed our stay and please take this as constructive criticism.
