Utica’s Courtyard by Marriott
We checked in very late and the clerk was very courteous and helpful. There were a few restaurants nearby so the location was convenient. It’s a nice hotel, pretty standard for Courtyard from my experience except for their breakfast buffet which was a joke. They couldn’t keep enough plates stocked for the guests so you had to wait around until they brought a fresh supply (of 5 or 6) out. The drink machine was out of cranberry deink so all you got was pale pink water. There was no butter for toast. The water was self service but no one told me, they just didn’t bring water to the table. Although the price ($7.95) seemed reasonable, it wasn’t when you consider that they couldn;t keep the few food items stocked either. They should probably just forget about offering a buffet. You ahould plan on breakfast somewhere else.

A night place to spend the night
Hotel was very clean and comfy. Pool and outside sitting area was inviting and nice. The workout facility looked awesome, but I didn’t get a chance to test it out. The only negative... not the easiest hotel to get to from the highway.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
There are a TON of quality places to eat within a mile... look around before you eat.

Marriott Residence was far superior. Bed was comfortable, kitchenette, free breakfast.
Hotel Staff was friendly, and accomidating. We felt the hotel in Utica MI. Was difficult to get to. No place to get breakfast except at the hotel. The bed was horabley lumpy. Like to say something nicer, but we travel alot and will never stay in a courtyard again.
