A fine hotel in the Vegas suburbs

Sunset Station is in Henderson, NV, a suburb of Las Vegas. It is famiy friendly and has a variety of restaurants, a movie theater, and a bowling alley. It has a full casino, including live 21 and craps tables, etc. There were several 21 tables with a $5 minimumm - impossible to find on the strip. There is also a sports book. The rooms were clean and well kept. There are the standard blackout drapes and other ammenities, including a flat screen TV. One negative is that they do not have a coffee maker in the room, but there is a Starbucks downstairs. The price is reasonable, but they tack on an extra nightly fee to cover such things as internet service, daily newspaper, etc. Their website does mention this, but it is apparently a surprise to some. Even with this fee, the room was less expensive than the least expensive room on the strip. The neighborhood seemed fine. There is plenty of shopping and resaurants within walking distance, and the usual cabs outside of the hotel. The hotel is quite a ways from the airport and strip, and the cabfare will cost around $40 plus tip to go to either place.

This is a family friendly hotel with a bowling alley, movie theater, and a variety of restaurants.

We will stay there again!

clean, conveniently located to the airport, strip, a mall , etc.. Very resonibly priced ! we definitely will stay there next time.

There is a nearby shopping center to get basic food/drink items for breakfast and lunch. Eat supper off -strip and you will save a bit. The hotel offers a buffet and name brand restaurant chains are nearby. The rental car facility has done a great job by combining all agencies under one roof. Don’t pick the cheapest rental car , as we found they had limited staffing , thus causing an 1 1/2 hr. delay to be waited on!

This was our third time we satyed at Sunset station Hotel Casino, my wife and I really like it there, The staff is very nice, The Fiesta Buffette is good, super Walmart across the street open 24 hours. Far away from the traffic of the Las Vegas Strip, much cleaner part of town, Sraff at Sunset is helpfull, Keep Up The Good Work. Thanks, R & D Riverside, Calif.
