Nice Hotel

The hotel was nice and the staff was friendly. Nice indoor pool and hot tub. Sauna was out of service when we were there, so I can’t tell you about it. Very nice place to stay for the price. We did not get up in time to have the continental breakfast, but there were hot items as well as the normal items. We were there for my daughter to take a campus tour of UK. Hotel was close to UK and close to retaurants and a Walmart right down the road. Would defiantely stay again.

Not impressed

This hotel was very unclean and very under staffed. I’m not sure but I don’t think the room was even cleaned. I will not be back there and do not recommend this hotel to anyone. I do have to say the 2nd shiff desk clerk was very helpful in trying to make everything better.

What I Expected

I think for the price this was a fine hotel. The continental breakfast was more than just rolls and coffee and that was nice. The pool was clean, the room comfortable. Our nonsmoking room may have been smoking at one time as evidenced by the burn hole in the bedspread but it smelled fresh and the air was good. The one minor criticism I have is the same "musak" played over and over in the lobby. Everyday at breakfast the same identical music. The loop must have been only 15 minutes long. It was a bit annoying to us, I can’t imagine working that lobby desk for long. Change the tunes for those poor employees!

Just a block or so away was a big all purpose drugstore if you needed anything. Numerous restaurants, chain and local, were in very short driving distance.

This place needs some updating!

This is a motel with the room doors inside! I thought it would be nicer since it had a Ramada name. The room doors are made out of wood with a knocker on them, like they were actualy outside and they built a structure around them. The air conditioning was really bad in both the rooms we had. The tv guide was missing from one room and the clock had been moved so we couldn’t initially find it. The bathroom was ok, but the counter area outside of it was really small. Only for one person. So if you are travelling alone and want a bare bones place to stay, this might be for you. But it was a little too spartan for me and my kids.

The staff was very helpful in giving directions and restaurant recommendations.

No elevator

The only drawback was that there was no elevator to the second floor.

A musty, miserable little dump

I booked my sales team here during our company’s national sales meeting. They called immediately after check-in and asked to be moved. There is no elevator. The halls smell like stale smoke, the rooms are musty. A very unpleasant experience for all of us.

Not impressed

The hotel was very shabby, and the furniture was not very well maintained. The first room that I was placed in had just had the floors steam cleaned. Although I appreciated the effort, this left the room extremely humid ~ there was condensation running down the windows, the floors were wet, and the comforter and under-blanket were damp. The room had so much moisture in the air that I was afraid to take my laptop out of its carrying case. My request for another room was not taken seriously until I stated that I couldn’t sleep there, and would have to go to another hotel if they didn’t find another room for me.

Technical Problems

No elevator to second floor. Key card failed to work and card reader failed intermitently during stay. Internet access was also an on and off problem. Lastly the staff made a habit of taking smoke breaks next to the front door outside the hotel.

Won’t return

The hotel does not have an elevator. There was an unrelenting odor of urine. The room was never cleaned during our four day stay. The staff, however, were very helpful and friendly.

could have been much better

Staying in Lexington for a long weekend. Was placed in a smoking room after I had reserved a non-smoking room. Not a very well thought out hotel design. Lock on bath door broken. No vent in bathroom and heating/cooling unit not working properly. Wished I had booked another hotel. Have stayed in other Ramada hotels and this does not compare.

The Pool saved the day

Hotel was adequate. No elevator. Difficult to get luggage up large flight of stairs to second floor. Booked this hotel because of pool and hot tub. Both were very relaxing. Hot breakfast was not that great. Ran out of orange juice. When we asked for more, we were told it was frozen.

Good stay for the money!

The room had a very pleasant/clean smell. The only complaint would be that the walls seemed to be "thin". We could hear the drawers in the next room roll in and out!! I’m glad I didn’t have my boys with me or the people next door would not have got any quiet or maybe my room would have been louder and I wouldn’t have noticed the drawers next door!!!!!!

OK for money

Our original room had a weird smell. Front desk person came down and noticed it also and we were quickly/politely switched. In our new room the coffee pot had not been cleaned and one bed was very poorly made. I think the staff had been using it as a break room.

Nice, clean stay worth the money.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and the staff was pleasant. The only drawback is the area. There is a Cracker Barrell but little more than that.

Great hotel in all ways

After staying at the Ramada Inn in my first night in Lexington, KY (recently relocated from the Washington, DC area), I will always choose the Ramada hotel chain as my FIRST choice hotel whenever I travel. The service was impeccable with friendly and helpful staff, very clean and comfortable rooms and beds. This hotel has all the extras and class that other higher priced hotel chains offer. Ramada gives it’s customers what is expected; great accommodations for a reasonable price. It also has as an indoor pool which comes with the great price.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

This hotel is very close to the large and new Hamburg Pavillion shopping mall. There are many restaurants and shops for a wide variety of budgets and tastes in this surrounding area.

Got in late after over 600 mile day. Staff was way ahead of us, I think knowing that we were bushed. Loved our stay - only 1 night. Wife really liked it, so enough said. Thank you Expedia for the nice price. Garry, Alabama

Traveler's tip on dining

We became starved by staying with the roadway in order to have a shorter day on the 2nd to Toronto, soooo, we were hunger. They had evening snacks but we wanted something else. Opted for some Japanese food along with Sushi and they directed us to one. Not real close, but they did know where it was. A nice plus for them. That’s it.

Our stay was OK

Picked a busy weekend.-the parking lot was very full when we arrived late in the evening. Hotel was clean, quiet, and a good location. We had trouble getting the wireless to work.

Very nice staff on duty and a very comfortable quiet hotel. Great location too. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Convenient, clean, and comfortable

The hotel staff was as sweet as could be - every single person we encountered. The room was spacious and clean. We were visiting UK, and it was very convenient to get there from the hotel. Would definitely stay there again, was more affordable than some of the other local hotels and just as nice a hotel.

This was a super hotel!

The front staff was friendly, helpful and always willing to do things for us. The area was convenient with lots of restaurant and shopping choices. The price was a grat deal! We will definitley stay here again - and would recommend it 100%
