Beyond Expectations
Some friends and I planned a trip down to Miami for our alumni weekend and Reunion. I found that the best offer both in price range and proximity to our planned destinations was the Residence Inn in Coconut Grove. Within a short walking distance we were able to enjoy the restaurants and bars that Cocowalk and the surrounding neighborhood provide. Also, the hotel was a central location for those places we needed to drive to - campus, south beach, and the airport. Most of all, we were impressed by the room offered. More space than we imagined- including a living area with a pull out bed, 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen, and dinning area, all right across from a relaxing pool. To top it off, the staff was very nice and accomodating, assisting us with directions, suggestions, and calling cab services. I would definitely stay there again on my next visit.
Brush up on new restaurants in the area you are to travel to, even if you had been there many times before. In just one year, 4 places I had planned to go to had closed and turned into new restaurants/bars. However, be sure to try something new - may end up being your new favorite! Also, always remember - its vacation, its OK to splurge on a fancy meal and drinks - its worth it! (see Jaguar in Coconut Grove, next to CocoWalk.)

No bar and restaurant
Too bad this hotel does not have bar and restaurant beside this was OK. Going to my room from main lobby I had to pass by utility and laundry room. Not so nice experience.

Will stay there next time i have travel to the Miami, Coconut Grove area!
Very clean and profession. The hotel staff even made dinner reservations for us at the last minute and it was an excellent choice. Will be going back in October for another short but relaxing stay!
