Amazing, Can’t Wait to Return!
I didn’t really know what to expect when we were on our way to Cancun Palace, but after being greeted so kindly and treated like royalty the second we got there, I knew that this was going to be an amazing place. The room are amazing, but are definitely geared towards couples. The hot tub was amazing and you also have your choice of liquors, sodas, juices and water. We also had free in room WIFI and free International Calling to the US during our stay. The restaurants are all extremely good and we tried them all. The Steakhouse, Hibachi and Italian restaurants were all great for nice dinners. The International and Mexican buffets were AMAZING. At the International Buffet they have a cook station and will cook fresh anything that they have on the menu. It ranged from Steaks to Omelets! The water on the beach is typically red flag (rough seas), but the sand bar extends out a ways so you’re able to wade into the water with little issue. The sand on the beach is amazingly fluffy and white. They DO have a beach now, so prior posts referencing the post hurricane problems are a non-issue. We went on a few of the included excursions, Chichen Itza and Isla Mujeres. I was extremely disappointed with the Chichen Itza excursion as we only had 2:30 hours to tour the site after being dropped off and touring small Mayan towns. I highly recommend going to Isla Mujeres through the Palace resorts. The company that does the tour is amazing and Isais is hilarious. I cannot wait to return!
We found going at the end of October to be the perfect time. It’s at the end of the rainy season, but the tourism is low so it doesn’t feel crowded at all.

CANCUN PALACE
Beautiful hotel, and hotel staff very friendly and accomdating. Use caution though with the ’preimer palace’ staff. It appears this part of the hotel staff is somewhat disorganized and they do not all have the same information. Attempts at tour coordination by same resulted in incorrect information, depending who you spoke to. Note that tours are extremely competitive in Cancun and you will be swarmed at the airport for offers (not included in your package, like dolphin swim for example). Would recommend depending on your package to do all of this at the hotel you are staying at. Note for certain items they may require even here attending a time share or other real estate type ’seminar’. Note they will NOT conclude in the 90 minute advertised time, and will include the typical salesman pressure, although not overt. Note that even the included tour packages, set up of these are EXTREMLY convoluted and slow for the premier palace staff to setup, even the most seemingly easy ones! That said, again the hotel itself experience was wonderful. From restaraunts to the daily pool area activities, you will not be disappointed!

Gotta Love Palace Resorts
Just returned from a great week! We arrived at Cancun Palace to realize they had a convention there with HSBC (kinda took over the place). We spent one night at Cancun Palace and decided the next day to use our "palace passport" to go over to Moon Palace for the day to relax at the pool and realized we like the quiet atmosphere there much better. We asked if we could transfer over to Moon and they couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful. This is our second time staying at a Palace resort (1st time was Punta Cana) and we have been so happy both times. Liked Mexico - had a chance local surroundings, shop, do activites ( and see their other resorts) and and we are convivced we are life long customers. Resort is upscale and immaculate, rooms and views beautiful, service is outstanding, food is great and their desire to serve and accomodate world class. This is "all inclusive" at it’s best - 5 star without question. Really go... you will love it.
