Hotel is kinda run down
The hotel is located in a run down part of town. Lots of junk cars and shaddy looking folks nearby. The underground garage felt like a dungeon. The front desk staff is useless in finding me a power adaptor. The carpet in the room feels dirty. The bedding is skimpy, uncomfortable at best. On the plus side, wireless internet is free and hotel is very close to a Supermarket/mall.

There is a Carre4 supermarket and mall one block away. You can get grocery/drinks and other things rather cheaply there.

the hotel was situated in a good part of nice - within good walking distance of old nice, the beach, and the convention center. the staff were VERY helpful in finding us taxis, directions to anywhere we wanted to go even if they didn’t already know where it was. gave us good recommendations for restaurants. the only problem we had was with no air conditioning we had to leave the window open in our room and the noise out in the streets was VERY loud - all night long. we finally used airline ear plugs and pulled the drapes over the window to help with the noise.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
we loved walking around nice especially the beach area. we walked all the steps up to the chateau and it was worth the climb. it only rained one night when we were walking 10 blocks to a restaurant, but we survived. wonderful visit.
