it was great
very friendly staff, service, they where on top of everything, gave us good directions, clean room, pillows where the best I sleep in a long time. it wasn’t hard to find from the airport, not even noisey from the airport. we will be staying again in June 2010

Impressed
Clean and comfortable, just what I needed for a one night stay in Roanoke. Recently renovated so the decor is very nice. Rooms are spacious with comfortable couch and beds.

Great overnight stop hotel!
This was a great hotel to stay minimal days. We were very impressed. It was clean and well maintained. The service was great. The check-in attendant introduced himself right away with his name (which I still remember as "Josh"). We always look for a pool for the kids. This hotel’s pool was in a great screened in location. It could use a little update however, and a jacuzzi-but overall it was functional and great for the kids. The rooms in general were spacious.The bathroom however was TINY and not roomy at all. The bathroom sink is in the room,not in the bathroom. When you have more than one person staying/sleeping in this room-this is a definite noise factor! We also look for great breakfast options, the Hyatt Place had great continental breakfast options, with options of buying more filling breakfast. Overall great hotel. I do recommend for short stays for a family of more than two. Definitely longer for 1-2 people.
When my sister and I travel, we look for a pool and continental breakfast first. We try to stay under a certain price range. When you have children and are traveling, continental breakfast is great because it allows you to save on buying breakfast, which could add an avg. of another $40 to your "one night" hotel stay budget! We spend about $100-$130 on avg. with breakfast; or about $80 or so if we need to buy breakfast extra somewhere.
