It’s a Hotel... and it’s in Klamath Falls.

If you’re looking for a hotel in Klamath Falls, this is one of them. Rooms are pretty good. Briefly turned on the TV and had the impression that the cable service was weak and watered down - not good picture quality at all - but I was just there to sleep anyhow. Eat elsewhere - the food looks horrible and smells exactly like the grease laden fare that is described on the menu. The steak was oh-so-impressively hyped simply as a "Steak" - no specific cut... no nothing. If you’re going to put this little effort into it, why not just put a sign on the wall that says "FOOD - ASSORTED SIZES, SHAPES, COLORS. $4.99-$13.99" The sportsbar/pub is over lit, which enhances the interior designer’s success in creating something that is both extremely bland and apparently difficult to clean. Every surface had a sheen of ickyness, and by merely touching the menu you realized that you didn’t have to open it to know you didn’t want to eat there. If you take your own thing of sani-wipes, you might be able to carve out a reasonable horizontal surface on which you can park your butt while you drink a beer (go bottled, taps tasted dirty) and look at the local restaurant map to figure out where you need to be. We found Roosters at the end of the main drag, which ended up serving a far better steak dinner than I expected.

Really decent hotel for the price--best cookies!

Clean, functional, reasonably comfortable beds. Switched rooms for a better view without a problem. Actually able to OPEN the windows, (which seems to be a rarity these days), so we had a nice breeze off of the lake, but noise from the traffic as well (fair trade). Fans in the bathroom, which is nice when you have a stinky person in the room. Staff was all helpful and pleasant. For some reason there is FOUR phones in the room, including one in the bathroom (!), so if you have little kids, make sure to unplug them ALL. There is a pool, although not especially heated (the husband and kids came back from swimming pretty fast). There is a McD’s, and an Applebees within walking distance. Oh, and the fresh baked cookies at the front desk ARE fantastic (I thought the other reviews were overstating it, but they weren’t).

Children’s Museum is a fun place for the younger set, and pretty good prices. It doesn’t seem like much, but it actually has a lot of fun stuff for the kids to do.

Can’t wait to go back

While work was being done on our roof we decided to spend the weekend at the Shilo Hotel and we were very pleased with the entire experience. Breakfast was great and 24hr access to the pool and hot tub made it easy to relax whenever we decided we wanted to take a dip. The staff were friendly and everything was really clean and crisp. Can’t wait till we can get away and treat ourselves to another stay.

Good enough for the price paid

This hotel is sitting on a hill just outside the highway, you can see the lake not too far below. Very wide rooms with Kitchenette and a living area with couch, table w/chairs and a 2nd Tv set. The reastaurant connected to this hotel is nothing memorable, but everything you need is in the area nearby (just outside the parking lot) Good enough for the price paid, and noted for future stays in the area.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

I’ll consider this hotel for both business and leisure and due to the ample room size (more than average) it could be good for families with children

Shilo Inn Suites Hotel - Klamath Falls, OR

This was our first time staying at a Shilo Inn. We reserved 2 junior suite rooms. It worked out great to have the partion for privacy for those staying on each side. The side with the hide-a-bed also had a wet bar, fridge, mirco wave, and sink. We had plenty of room to gather the 7 in our party. There were freshly baked cookies at the main desk, fruit and popcorn were also available. The people at the main desk were very helpful. We would definitely stay at a Shilo Inn again.

I’ll be back.

This was our first stay at a Shiloh Inn, but it won’t be our last. Good value for the price, very nice room, comfy bed, clean and well appointed. We feel Shiloh compares very favorably with the competition, LaQuinta, Quality Inn and Holiday Inn Express and is far superior to Westin and Marriot Hotels we have visited, for half the price.

Excellent deal for a mini-suite hotel

Thanks to Expedia’s pre-paid discount we recently spent 3 nights in what I think is the best hotel in Klamath Falls for than the big brand name hotels charge! The Shilo’s are somewhat unique in their layout having a min-living room area separate of the sleeping area with a sink, refrigerator, microwave and separate TV. A large indoor swimming pool, steam room, spa and well equipped workout facility made this an excellent base for us during our visit.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Shilo offers free continental breakfast or discounts at their on-site restaurant for those tired of cold, dry bread and cereal and looking for a full breakfast.

Very Comfortable stay in Klamath Falls

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Small, but adequate fitness room, nice indoor pool jacuzzi and sauna. Dog friendly and wireless access make this a very convenient place to spend a week-end visiting relatives in Klamath.

Condescending staff

The room was nice & clean. Overall enjoyed the hotel, despite being treated rudely by the heavy-sest blonde at the front desk. When I tried to ask if there was a way to access the rooms besides the front lobby, the front desk help condescendingly told me, no, this is a "hotel", all the rooms are located inside. Tried to avoid the front desk after that, as I had drove over five hours that day and did not enjoy being treated like garbage. ;)

Even much better than I expected!

The hotel was just what my son and I wanted (and more!) as we traveled to check out the nearby college. The room designation of "mini-suite" was very appropriate. It was large and had a small refrigerator, microwave, extra little sink, ironing board in the wall and plenty of counter space. Free wireless internet availability was helpful and prices for laudry machines were reasonable. We didn’t get to use the pool and fitness equipment, which looked appealing. The complimentary continental breakfast was ample and included waffles. And as if the great accommodations and reasonable prices were not enough, the staff members were extremely friendly and helpful. Thank you!

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Crater Lake is an hour away. Although it was a worthwhile drive, we were were not able to see the lake due to snowfall blocking the visibility. However the gift shop (a pleasant surprise) was well supplied with high quality souvenirs, snacks and detailed information about the lake, let alone a rest room. I recommend checking whether the roads are open and if there is visibility, especially in the winter.

Klamath Falls Shilo - Perfect Place to Stay!

I traveled to Klamath Falls from the coast to pick up my husband from the train and arrived at the Shilo Inn around 7pm, at the same time as a bus load of teenagers. The desk receptionist was wonderful and reworked my reservation to place me on the top floor in a quiet area of the hotel. Check-in was quick, staff extremely friendly and helpful, the room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The pillows were firm and fluffy, the blankets plentiful and the bed was perfect. The only suggestion I would make is the bottled water. I really don’t believe they should charge for the 2 bottles of water in the room. If the guest wants additional bottles, then, by all means charge for them. But for the initial bottled water, I believe this should be included with the room as a courtesy. Also, with regard to room service, I did not utilize this service as so many hotels and other establishments seem to think it is ok to include a "gift" charge on your bill. They call it a gratuity. Since when did a gift become a mandatory charge on a service? This is wrong on so many levels and people need to speak up and remind these establishments what a gratuity is what it stands for. It is NOT just another charge! It is an expression of thanks for a well-delivered service. Other than than the tip issue, the hotel is wonderful and I would highly recommend it to anyone coming to Klamath Falls.

A Great Place to Stay

Everything about the Shilo Klamath Falls Suites was excellent. I chose the hotel because of the indoor pool and whirlpool, which were very excellent. But I also much appreciated the dry sauna and the steam room. The room was large and clean and offered everything I needed. Breakfast was better than most and the staff was excellent. I give the Shilo a very high recommendation and when I return to Klamath Falls I will return there!

good location for travelers and visitors

This hotel was easy to find with ample parking for travelers with trailers or large vehicles. The room was very clean with all the amenities. Having an onsite restaurant and lounge made for a complete stay in one place. The staff was very professional and courteous, check in and check out was a breeze. I will be booking this hotel again.

Traveler's tip on nightlife

There is no apparent nightlife in Klamith Falls
