Excellent for cruisers
The main attraction for this hotel is its location at the Piazzale Roma with ease of accessibility to land (from airport and Mestre, and Sta Lucia train terminal)/water transport around the lagoon (vaporetto station just a few meters away), and proximity to the Marittima for the cruise lines. While its location is a great advantage, it also is, unfortunately, its disadvantage as it is very noisy throughout the night and wee hours of the morning, especially if your room is facing the square. The room size is also disappointingly small for two people. Shower stall is cramped even for my petite size. Overall, if one prefers convenience, this is an excellent place to stay, especially for those joining the cruises.
Buy the ACTV tourist day card for public land/water transport. Very reasonable price. Available at the Marco Polo airport and at the vaporetto stations. It’s a hop on/off system available for 12, 24, 36 hour/etc-use, depending on one’s stay.

Not for families
We were disappointed with our room. It was supposed to be non smoking but when we entered we found traces of cigarette smell and a cigarette box in the trash. We had kids with us and they did not change our room upon request. No one wanted to help but just expected us to live with it. Staff was not at all helpful or compassionate toward our position. We cut our trip short and got out soon as possible. Ceilings were a bit low too. You can get a better deal for that price.

Overall Good Hotel
The service and location of the hotel is very good. It is located right by Piazzale Roma so we didn’t have to walk too much after betting off from the bus. We stayed in a family room with 4 beds on the top floor. Somehow, the air conditioning didn’t work so they gave us another room. Other than that, I don’t have any complaint. Overall experience with this hotel is very good.
