SUPER 8 MOTEL - KNOXVILLE DOWNTOWN/WEST

You could do better.

This Super 8 was adequate for my needs, but not really that excellent. There are finer hotels at equivalent prices.

ok but noisey

It’s right next to I40 and is pretty noisey.But that is where we wanted to be because I was a releif driver for a busing Co. and the bus needed to pick me up there.

NEEDS REMODELING AND UPDATED

EVERYONE IN THE LOBBY WAS VERY NICE. THE ROOM HAD A MUSKY SMELL. THE COFFE POT DID NOT WORK. THE WATER IN THE SHOWER HAD NO WATER PRESSURE AT ALL, WHICH MAKES IT VERY HARD ON WOMEN TO SHAMPOO THEIR HAIR.

Non-Smoking Not Enforced

The room had a "No Smoking" sign nailed to the outside of the door, but it obviously had been ignored. Management tried to cover-up the incident with a scented spray. No other rooms were available.

Lame

It is cheap, but that’s about it! The walls are paperthin- you will hear your neighbor’s TV. Our shower has such low water pressure it was difficult to shower, the drain was clogged, the hairdryer was broken, and the minifridge was broken. Overall, inexpensive, but don’t expect much.

Nice stop

The pool was nice, breakfast was donuts, cereal, muffins, toast with juice. Not too bad. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It is right on the highway, so in the early morning it was noisy if you were in a room closest to the rode.

Not impressed

This hotel was easy to get to from the Knoxville airport, unfortunately that was the best part of the hotel. Rooms in illrepair. Bathroom falling apart, room had a filthy reclining chair to sit in which had to be covered with towels before your body could touch it. No clock whatsoever in the room. All fitness equipment in exercise room was broken. Not best place for woman to stay alone as motel is heavily used by male construction workers. Continental breakfast is a joke. On a positive note the lady that checked me in was very friendly and well informed on goings on in the area. Gave great directions to local sites.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Very close drive to Pigeon Forge, Gatinburg, Smoky Mountain National Park, Cherokee North Carolina, which were all places I visited in my one day stay here.

Not impressed

The staff was great they were friendly. As for the room...you could see and huge crack in the wall that went from the floor to the celing. There was no remote control to the t.v, and you could the the outside light from the frame of the door where the door was not insulated right or not at all.

Koxville Hotel - A Keeper in My Planner!

I would definitely consider using the hotel when in Knoxville again on business or for leisure although I did not use the extra amenities.

Good Location

This hotel was in a good location for our travel purpose and easy to access off I-40. It was also in close proximity to a major number of restaurants. Everything about our stay was totally satisfactory, except that we did notice quite a bit of road noise from I-40. When we turned on the A/C in our room, that did help to drown out a good bit of it.

Located close to a street with many of the major chain restaurants as well as local eating establishments.

Super 8 Motel

The room was not comfortable. The heat/A/C did not work correctly. The bathroom was dirty, the toilet paper was almost empty. Drains in sink and tub were missing plugs, not enough towels for two people. The telvison remote did not work. There was not enough creamer or sweetener for the 2 cup coffee maker. The trash cans outside were over flowing. It was barely better than camping out.

Bad but cheap

This is a very old and tired motel. It was a very inexpensive place and it that respect was worth the price.
