Leela’s review
The hotel is very clean and the staff was very cooperative. I did not like the mattress which was quite old and could not sleep very well. The staff did not do change the room.

Great visit. Highly recommended. Good options with beach bars and nearby hotel for better priced dinning and days on the beach.

Good local food on one of two beach bars. Next hotel along beach is also a good option for drinks and meals.

Great decor and location but bad food and service
The hotel decor is very pretty. The lobby is stunning when you first arrive. The service however is dreadful and the food even worse. Expect to pay very high prices for subpar food. The food is so bad that it is almost surreal. We had 2 bad experiences dining at the hotel: at the Cafe and Riverside. If you eat elsewhere, the hotel is fine.
Traveler's tip on dining
Eat at the nearby beach shacks and restaurants. The food there is MUCH better at a fraction of the price.

The Leela is worth the money
Stayed in the Leela for 2 days in November 2008 with my girlfriend and we were very impressed with the size of the room, the resort as a whole and the service. There is not much to do other than relaxing on the beach but what a beautiful beach it is. The staff were very helpful, the food was OK overall but the indian restaurant was excellent. The only complaint is the smell of humidity in the rooms, but when you have so much water around you, its pretty understandable. overall we had a great time and would highly recommend it.

The Leela, Goa.
We stayed in a club suite at the Leela in Goa. The service was amazing, specially with a private butler service. The food, beach, pools, spa and the warmness of the staff made us feel more than welcomed. I really recommend this hotel. However, if you are looking for fun and nights out, this hotel is a bit far from the beaches where parties are on (North Goa about 140 min driving). I really recommend it if you are after relaxation and "rejuvenation"
